I'm getting at that for any other gaming system, you just have to twiddle your thumbs. I also figured since you guys would start complaning about the PS3, I would complain about the Wii.
Fair enough?

Now, I respect your opinion just as I expect everyone elses, but you don't need to start flaming me over a stupid gaming system.hooteni wrote:2_lowiq_clone wrote: Just me 2 cents, given that you guys gave your own opinion too.

"the wii will be cool for 5 minutes"? maybe for u, sum1 who is too self-conscious to enjoy themselves and have fun "you look like a dork" so what? maybe if you weren't too worried about looking like a dork youd realize that the wii will be good.
"when you do you ever play video games to work out?" uhh idon't know have you ever heard of DDR or eyetoy or guitar hero for goodness sakes? Holy shultz man those are all fun games to be played that involve movent. if you want to work out, people will "go outside" or whatever, but if they want to have fun while doing it theyll get a [word not allowed] wii. Also, the wii isn't even that much exercise, brosuff.
"ps3 has motion sensored controllers" really? six degrees of motion? holy shultz thats impressive im gonna go cry now. First off, sony added that in literally 1 month before e3 at best, so devs havent had nearly as much timw to work it into their games and make it as goo,d its just a gimmick, 93% of launch title games don't have it in. and isn't nearly as good as nintendos. N-dawg's version detects nearly all degrees of motion, not just six.
"gamecube fell flat on its face when it was released." first of all, what does this have to do with anything? you'r talking about how it doesn't need to be different. If it was different, it was because it had smaller discs, which has nothing to do at all in the video-game-playing-ffun-having process. "oo im not gonna but the GC cus is has small discs."-didn't happen. ever.
"The Wii will be one of those things you play once and put down. Name me one person that is so energetic about playing they want to get up and swing you arms about like a chimp. You kind-of look like a dork when you do that. And every time I sit down to play a game, I'm playing it because I don't want to move or do anything. Maybe the Wii thought that getting kids to get up and play was a good idea, but they were better off getting them to play outside." I don't even know where to start. the wii won't be one of those things you play once and put down, because its fun. Ive played it, im not one of those guys that doesn't want to get up and swing my arms around like a chimp, but i had a really good time playing the wii, and i didn't feel like a dork when playing it(maybe because im not a dork like you mr 'my name is lowiq im cool cus i think the wii sux like every stereotypical hater retard in the world HAHAHAHAHA'). I really don't know why im trying to prove you wrong, you say you play video games when you don't want to do anything. I play videogames when i want to do stuff, and sleep when i don't want to do stuff. but thats just me. and every other sane person IN THE [word not allowed] WORLD, MAN! and im not saying i love the wii, all htese systems IMO are pretty equally cool, cept ps3 is like 2 pegs down from wii and 360, still pretty close. thats it, none of em suck
I'll be asking Teancum or Shadowhawk to deal with this problem, because I'm not getting a warining like you should.a rampid Gametoast user wrote: but i had a really good time playing the wii, and i didn't feel like a dork when playing it(maybe because im not a dork like you mr 'my name is lowiq im cool cus i think the wii sux like every stereotypical hater retard in the world HAHAHAHAHA')
The word censor says it all. So you get a double warning for the F word, plus an additional warning for flaming another user. So you're on your last let Hooteni.hooteni wrote:my two cents- you are a [double warning] retard. that post should be shot.
Exceellent point. Maybe this will be a 3-way console war this time around. It would drive-down prices a bit and force companies to make better games!Dohnutt wrote: I'm just saying that just because the GCN didn't go as well as the PS2 and Xbox, it doesn't mean the Wii is gonna be horrible either...
I couldnt disagree with you more man.2_lowiq_clone wrote:The Wii will be cool for 5 minutes!
Why do I say this? When do you ever play a video game to work out?? If you want to do something fun and move about, go outside! I don't understand why the Wii is so hyped up about having motion-sensitive controllers and such. In case anyone has noticed the PS3 has moton sensitive controllers too, but you have the option to turn them off and have a normal game. The Wii sounds nice for those who want to be different, but what's the need to be different? The gamecube fell flat on it's face when it released. There were almost no good games for it, the disk was proprietary, and it wasn't as powerful as the PS2 was or the Xbox.
And Teancum put it the best by saying none of new consoles impress me. Motion-sensitive controllers, whoop. Multiple processors, whoop.

So, I saved the Wii fans the pain of not posting this in their fourm, but I guess I can post this in a fourm about the PS3. The only thing the Wii is good for is the name of the system is the same thing as what people will yell when they throw this system out the window: Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Just me 2 cents, given that you guys gave your own opinion too.

I own a Wii and coming off of playing 15 hours straight I can tell you for sure that the wii is not some "novelty toy" that you goof around with for one hour and never play again.
You have probably never even picked up a Wii controller so I dont know how you can pass judgment on it. You dont need to "wave your arms around like a chimp" to get it to work-unless you're stupid that is. All it takes is for you to move your wrist, doesnt take much more effort than double clicking something with a mouse once you get the hang of it.
The only gripe I have with the controller is that there isnt an exact 1:1 correlation between how you move your controller and how the animation plays out in the game, but thats more of a software issue than a hardware issue.
For the most part it works without a hitch, its not tiring at all. And on the few times when the game does misinterpret what you do its far more likely that you did something wrong than having any actual controller error.
Lol dont forget that Sony loves ya too, continually pressing all those little buttons with the same two thumbs isnt doing wonders for your hands either.PrinceXizor wrote:Ah i get it. Maybe I thought waving you arms around like that came from the Call of duty 3 trailer I saw maybe 2 weeks ago. And another problem is that I am a devout sony fan, so I guess that stokes the Wii hatred a little more.![]()
