Disguise Kit Causing Crashing

Post by Abiter »

I've found that using a disguise kit on multiplayer has been causing everyone exept the host to crash i was wondering if anyone else has encountered this and found a solution?

A) Don't die with the disguise kit on
B) Don't use the disguise kit in multiplayer

There aren't really any other solutions as the disguise kit weapon is pretty much a one-trick pony.

Yep -- it's unfortunate too. It's a cool little feature. Problem is that the disguise is 100% exe code, meaning no amount of lua coding can fix it. The best LUA could do is replace it entirely, but I don't think anyone's jumping on the bandwagon to do that.

How would one go about doing that?

You would have to use SetClassProperty to change a unit's msh.

... but that would affect all units of that type, right?

MSH isn't an instance property. It's a class property. It would affect all units of that odf.
