Creating Models Without XSI
XSI crashes at the opening screen on my computer, so I can't get it to work. Is there any other way to create models without using xsi? I want to create a model for a verpine shatter gun: http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/starw ... un-GFT.png

Either of those work, but you have to keep in mind that MshEx only works with XSI. If you don't want to use XSI, you'll have to use Tipam's VRML-MSH converter (aka the MSH Viewer).

In the xsi directories there is a bat file call runonce.bat Run it once see if that does anything for you. BTW what version of windows are you running?

Try running the program, as for vista there maybe somethings in the xsi tutorials or the modding FAQ about it and if all else fails there is the XSI website faq which could probably help you better than us guessing at things

I know older versions would do this, when you're opening the program are you doing things in the background? If so just try starting it with nothing running and just walk away and let it open.

Re: Creating Models Without XSI
When I tried to run XSI modtools 6, it kept crashing on me too. So I downloaded 7.5 to see if that would work, and it did. So I don't have any advice to you, besides to try a different version.

Re: Creating Models Without XSI
mswf you said mod tools 6 crashed on your pc-
-did the program crash when you opened it
-or just randomly when you were using it
because it does the latter almost every time I try using it!

or if you use milkshape or gmax, you can use bconstructor to convert.Fiodis wrote:Either of those work, but you have to keep in mind that MshEx only works with XSI. If you don't want to use XSI, you'll have to use Tipam's VRML-MSH converter (aka the MSH Viewer).
