Finished AI pathing. Map is 95% done. Ive really got to add a bunch of AI starfighters/tanks fighting all over too. Ive got the PRP file to use geo rocks and what not so i dont have to worry bout placeing little objects all over.
Any one know the max units on feild? Isnt 300 with 150 per side?
Two questions:
Whats the list of units in your map?
Are you still working on <the battlefront project>?
Yep, battlefront project is still on the shelf, i keep on finding stuff to add to it though... most recentley repsharpshooters cape thing.
units... same as in battlefront project cept there will be a commander unit instead of an "assault unit" with electro binocs that command an orbital strike. Good news is, the map has very little lag, you can zoom in VERY far for all that fun stuff. Additionly there is the pilot.

kay, ive got almost all vehicle ODFs finalized. New GAT is perfecto and the automated dwarf spider is in. Got to add the SPHAT, the RTT and HAG are maybes right now. The tat assets(reskined) look REALLY nice with geo. The sides are pretty much even, but the CIS seem to be haveing an easier time- but, i havnt added the jedi let. Goin to be about 4-5. Vos, Luminara, Shaak Ti, Aayla and either Koon (my version) or Kit Fisto(loaded from convert pack)
Vehicle battles are awesome, nothing can n00b around very long before being destroyed. Ive allowed more vehicles on feild, so numbers on 1st page are a little less then the actual.

wow...kudos on that, its gonna be an awesome map!
by the way did you end up making the dwarf spider droid a unit?

Nope (i dont know if you cna make a vehicle a unit), it just spawns at a couple bases. THeres 4 of them on the feild at any time. I have made the AI more use vehicle weapons more accuratley, which makes fighting one more of a challenge.
The sound file is being a

right now...dont know if theres to many sounds loaded or if i did wrong somewhere... And for some reason the SPHAT main cannon isnt working. Checked the ODF and the model in unwrap3D and it should be working, but nothing happens with the laser.
Besides that, the map is really fun. really. Im going to hide some jedi starfighters a couple places too.

Closest you can get to spawning Vehicles as Units is by forcing the players into the vehicle whenever they spawn.

Got a dam cold...
Got sounds working, so cool

, cause i switch around sounds for weapons. There will be one mobile base, the SPHAT. Added auto turrets to alot of the bases, theres alot less ways to take advantage of the AI now. Im slowin down working on the map now, usually how it rolls... get around 90% and i hover around there. THe map was crashing, i debugged, figured out the dwarf spider is now causeing crashing mid-game. I have to figure out why cause it wasn't doing it before

. Id really like it if VF501 got the DC-17m finished cause its so pretty looking

.
Don't know about the RTT & HAG, but isn't there a LAAT/c model? If there is expect to see it.

All right, added the HAG and gave it nice little ODF. Theres really no point in RTT so don't expect it. I might add a hidden CIS vehicle too- no... i will... found a cool model in the conversion pack vehicles assets... hehe...
I got the SPHAT main cannon moving now, there was a missing line in freds ODF

. But there still isn't a laser coming out of it.
And i have figured out its actually the hail-fire thats causing mid-game crashes, not the dwarf

. ridiculous. i know theres no ODF errors, ... ill have to look into it...
The landed rep assault ship has some auto turrets on it shooten any CIS that get near it, in addition the ship is interconnected to a CP below. E.G. you have to destroy the ship,
and the take the CP below to actually take the Republics fortification. With the addition of numerous auto turrets, republic vehicles and some AI nasty snipers its pretty difficult. The Spire is protected to though, its not easy getting all the way to the end of the field. Theres plenty of things to get shot down by on the way there. I only make it 30% of the time with an LAAT or speeder bike. And when you do get there theres auto-turrets protecting it too.

Wut-wo, havnt updated for a while.
Im sorta in my modding break i guess... Anyways, i can't begin adding more things into the map until i fix this problem-
Both the dwarf
and the hail-fire are "causing" crashing, together

. That is, when i comment them out crashing ceases. Its not a model/odf problem though, im 100% on that. And its mid-game crashing

. Im going to have to do some more debugging some time. Really weird... might some kind of memory limit im hitting, irreverent to what vehicles i comment out of the LUA. Theres like 20 different vehicles available (thats right), wouldn't be surprised.

Well, with twenty different vehicles about I wouldn't be surprised that it crashes either.

I've never pushed BF2 to its limits though, so I can't be too sure. Run the BF2 log and see if there's any errors that can easily be fixed.
This map is looking beautiful by the way - a definite download from me if you can get it working. I'm heavily anticipating your side mod as well.

I get the same kind of crash on Kashyyyk, in which I have a total of about 25 vehicles (not all a different type, that's just the count). Mine crashes minutes into the battle unless I'm running the modtools.exe. Obviously, though, there is no error to explain this in the error log

. Maybe somebody knows the source of this crash, or what the limit is on vehicles before it will start doing this....
