Finally found a good moment to sit down and finish modelling this:
And the wireframe.
It's already fully unpacked, but I haven't started work on the texture yet. I've modeled it completely by myself, apart from the hands, those are still from a stock model.

Actually it's Starkiller in his cold area sith stalker armor.

Was working on this some tonight, it's basically done AFAIK.
Only needs a little bit of enveloping and a cape hex-editted, so, probably a request thread item soon...

heh. I like that clone. I especially think if you would upgrade those puny pistols, we would be in business here. But for now:
Good job!

Thanks.

The white trooper skin is icemembers' of course. I'll probably make at least one skin based more on the reference pic. May need to find more pics from the episode though, idk what needs to be done on the waist or legs...

I had some teachers who called in sick today, so I had time to work on this on a schoolcomputer, with a portable version of GIMP.
I've completely textured the head now, I'm off to work on the rest of the body:
I'm quite pleased with the result, except for the mouth/nozzle thing that I was already planning on redoing, because it's my first texture in which I'm trying to paint detail using a computer mouse.
Comments?
Oh and DRK, I'll send you that thing you asked for after I finish my own version first, I think you'll understand what and how I mean this.

its a very good start!
the sheet around the lower head seems to be a bit too much bent away
about the texure: the scratches tec look good, but you should probably make the whole "material" generally a bit more glossy by adding some highlights to the edges and increase the contrast between the scratches and the paint on the metal

Thanks for you critique. I do have a reason why I didn't focus that much on the contrast, because I'm simultaneously working on a bump and a speck map, for just that purpose.

my advice is to make the diffuse first and when its finished make thge bump and specular. if you are working on the simultaneously you are making every change and allignment trhee times. of course you dont have to do that, for me its the best because the most time im working on something im only making tiny changes.
