How do i guide the ai through my map?

I am very new to the SWBF2 Editor and have managed to read all the guide docs. and created a small conquest map with a tatooine theme. All the CP's work fine and although there is still alot missing such as lighting affects and boundries, I have one very annoying problem which I can not figure out how to beat.

The AI run directly towards command posts and get stuck in walls, spending countless minutes trying to push through a wall. Now I may have skipped something in the guides but I do not know how to guide these AI in the right direction.

I looked at other maps and saw a path called "Spawn" which went around the entire map. I asume this guides the AI but when I tried this, nothing happended and I urgently need some help!
