I had an idea that, every year, we should celebrate the amazing work that amazing people make. So, I had the idea of.....
I was thinking that there would be two sections of awards; Awards for Projects and Awards for Modders.

Individual Awards:
Achievement in 3D Modeling 2014
Achievement in Scripting 2014
Achievement in Skinning 2014
Achievement in Effects 2014
Achievement in Mapping 2014
2014 Most Helpful Modder
2014 Most Promising Future-Modder

Project Awards:
Best Sides in a Mod/Map 2014
Best Visual Components in a Mod/Map 2014
Best Gameplay in a Mod/Map 2014
Most Creative Mod/Map 2014
Best Individual Map 2014
Best Large Era Mod/Map Pack 2014
Best Stock Map Modification/Addition/Era 2014

And then of course *drumroll*
The Best Star Wars Battlefront II Modification 2014

I think that moderators should nominate 3-5 in each category, except for the Best Mod, which should have 10 (like best picture in the Oscars). Then, either moderators should give out these awards, or we have polls for each.

This is all just a thought, but I think that it would be a really fun way to acknowledge all the hard work people have put in for other's enjoyment. This is just an idea, and feel free to post any suggestions.

It's a good idea, and there used to be something like this for some map contests and avatar pictures. The only problem that I see is that there are a ton of categories and it's almost as if everyone is getting an award which makes them less valuable. There should be way less categories. I'm not even sure if we have people who fit some of these for each year.

I love the idea, but where the heck are the sound design-related awards? Also, do we really even have ebough active modders and projects to have some sort of awards "ceremony" like this?

Yeah, good idea, but waayyyy to many awards. Maybe just the best mod of the year and then the best map of the year.
Possibly we should do a best moderator/admin award too.

I like the idea. I heard here were competitions a long time ago and I wonder why it's not yearly?
