Getting into BF2142...

Hi there everybody! I bought BF2142 on my vacation to Scotland last week, and I've been trying it out a little the last two days, and all I have to say is: It's freakin' awesome!

But there's a few things I'm wondering, so let's put it all into a list! (yay!):
1. Do [GT] have a team or something for BF2142?
2. Is it worth getting Northern Strike booster pack?
3. Are there any cool mods except for First Strike for the game? (Well, I should focus on the main game in firsthand, but when I get bored of shipped maps and so on)
4. Anyone here wanna add me in your friends/buddy list?

I call myself ML_916 in the game... So, see ya on the battlefield!

Oh, and, it would be nice if I could get an answer for those questions.

1. Seems cool... Joining as we speak here.
Edit: Ehm... How do I join the "[GT]-club" at that site?
2. Okay... Might be worth it. But 100 swedish kronor is pretty much for three new maps (the game itself costs something like 500).
3. That seems like a pretty useful mod you mentioned.
4. I'll add you in BF2142, and have added your Xfire ages ago (my name there is ml916).

Ooh, I never knew about the GT club. Mind if I join? :P

Oh, and I'll add you guys to my 2142 'buddy list' or whatever it's called :P. I'm Rekubot in 2142 by the way, with a [GT-b] clan tag in front. I also just signed up to Ecliptical Realms; I'm Rekubot on that, too.

@Chris165: What is Assault Lines, exactly? I was always under the impression that it was like Battlefront II's XL mode.

Assault lines is like conquest, but the differences are:

EU forces have in the beginning 1 uncap.

The rest of the caps belongs to the PAN forces.

The main cap of the PAN is locked (uncapturable) until the EU have all the other cap captured. The lock will go down and then you can capture it.

The goal is to capture the locked cap of course, but you can also win if the reïnforcement count goes to zero. (When you capture it you get a pin for it.)

Also the EU forces have in every Assault Line map the vehicle: VCI Goliath.

It is really slow and it regenerates itself rapidly and automaticly through several parts. They can be destroyed though, so that the Goliath does not regenerate. There are 5 seats in it. The pilot, with some weird but powerful gun that shoots like a shotgun. It also has some kind of shoot-able motion mine to destroy a vehicle. When aimed and fired it follows the target fast and damage it.
The other 4 seats are turrets, two normal turrets and two heavy turrets.

Then you also have the very fast speeder, it shoots like a PAN walker (pilot) and you have a main gunner that shoots projectiles. It's very easy and fun to do roadkills with it :P .

That's the whole thing of Nothern Strike actually... further more there are three maps of it and one of them can also be played as Titan.

Oh yeah, not to forget the unlocks you can have... The most useful unlock is the sticky grenade shotgun use-able by support.

Yep, I went to Scotland... And well, I went too Ayr, Loch Ness, Fort William, Inverness, Aberdeen (spelling?), Edinburgh and passed by Glasgow (and a load of small villages and lots of the highlands).

Scotland is great when it comes to gaming: They have arcades (very rare in Sweden), cheap SNES-games (impossibe to find in Sweden) and they got pretty much more cheaper games in general (and "more" games in the stores).

But it's totally down the crapper when it comes to food... Like pizzas, Scotland is so after Sweden when it comes to that, and McDonalds in Scotland was much worse than in Sweden... Fish and chips was good though...

But all in all, Scotland is awesome!

So, back on topic guys... Or consider this one pretty dead.

Oh, and, I'll try to get Northern Strike soon...

Yeh, i hate MCDonalds, Pizza Hut is sooo much better. Any way, i guess you didn't meet all the people, ive lived here for 5 years now, its ok, but most the people my age are dicks, but the people that aren't, are really nice. Any way, i live in Fife, so its further away from Edinburgh, but i used to live right opposite Edinburgh, on the coast, across the water.
