I hope you leave it out, actually. I'm always bothered when people make Sarlaccs in every Star Wars Tatooine map (even in other games). It's not like there's 100's Sarlaccs on Tatooine.
IMO Desann, don't change a single thing geometry-wise.

I can't get the blasted things to work anyway. I haven't changed the geometry, however I have added some more objects to fill the map in some more. For example, destroyed vehicles, more rock formations, a crashed techno union ship in the background, an abandoned homestead by the sandcrawler, and also one more Republic tank to even things out. Personally, I think the stuff I've added in really helps the map seem more complete. However second opinions are vital.
Also, the file size has now doubled! I haven't even touched the SIDES yet either...I'm going to just delete unused MSH's to lower the size.

It's best to wait until the final version -- then you can delete all the msh files from other levels, but you won't be using ZeroEdit anymore, so it's all good.

I've never gotten any of the enviro-hazards to work. The Sarlaac, Wampa, Water, etc, IMO, is too much hassle. And pisses me off when I keep on running into him.

Actually there are other Sarlacc pits on Tatooine. The pit in the movies was just one of the many, the pit of Carkoon. I believe the pits are actually some kind of subterranean creature that burrow into the sand and eats anything that comes within its radius, kind of like a venus fly trap, but more alive. Though I do think it's a nice novelty to have in a map, I don''t think every desert map should have one. I think if you build a map with key gameplay ideas in mind such as terrain, cover. vehicles, etc. then you have a winner anyway. But in the end it's all up to what the mapper envisioned.
By the way, this does look like a good map indeed. Any idea on a release date?

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
I've put in some nodes (which all the AI except the Tuskens ignore) and I've detailed the background with elevation and rock formations. Also I made the Tusken Camp capturable. Good idea or bad? It's not easy though...I had to grab a buddy in my tank then had him hold position at the camp while I got out and tried to take it. I eventually succeeded...after 3 times.

This map for GCW and CW, doesn`t it?
And... Are you will add some new units?

The map is Clone Wars only. I'd add some units but I'm really bad in that field of modding, even with a tutorial right in front of me. I'll probably have to ask someone to help out.

Don't worry, I'm sure he hasn't forgotten. People get sidetracked with real life and other projects. Everyone loves this map so much that I'm sure he'll release it.

I'm thinking of passing this over to Majin for help with the SIDES and adding missing vehicle sounds. That's his expertise. I've tried many a time to get SIDES working, but something is always wrong, even if I use a tutorial. Also, I tried to get vehicle sounds working once wtih Psychofred's tutorial, and it was a very complicated task therefore I was unsuccessful. However Majin isn't online very much anymore so it's hard to make contact with him. Thanks for the interest and sorry this is taking so long.
