Try lowering your graphic settings to minimum and try it again. If it doesent work after that try re-installing Halo 2

This is a common problem for people who play Halo 2 on XP. There is a fix and I have the files. All it is a different Halo 2 launch and a DLL file that you need to put into the Halo 2 directory. If you pm me your email address I can send them to you in an attached file. I need your email because I don't think you can attach files in a Gametoast pm correct?

Strange, it worked for me. And I'm not sure you want to give up XP for Vista. I know you want to play Halo 2 but Vista is pretty bad. If you want to upgrade I'd go with Windows 7.

my cousin has a vista and it works GREAT!
it's an acer espire! i'll buy one too!

With 7 already out, there is no point in buying Vista. Sure I use it and it works fine for me, but 7 just has so much more to offer. And LIVE on the PC is called Games for Windows LIVE and is free. At one point it wasn't, which your manual may lead you to believe it is not free.

Also I would suggest downloading Halo 2 Map Editor (Its found in the Halo 2 Instal thingy)
Then try looking on Http://halofiles.com for some tutorials if you can't figure out what to do.
After I post a link to Gravemind 1.5, PM me if you want to know more about useing that

how can i install halo 2 map editor on xp? it donesn't works with the start menu! can i download it somewhere seperate?
and here a tip: whar about a battle rifle as mp? or single shot weapon? tripple shot is bad!
