Wasn't it kind of one in Halo 3 and ODST?
Although I think it was just a variant of Assault.
Opposed to an unofficial gametype? lol
I meant a shipped gametype, lol. Same thing. Sorta.

I just hope Forge is more robust this time around. I saw lots of cool Forge-made maps that were remakes of Covenant ships/architecture, but because they used the brown Sandbox items it just wasn't convincing. I guess in that sense I want different "themed" sets of items, and possibly a time-of-day modifier. Besides that I think Forge can do plenty. I don't need ZeroEdit-level ability.

*EDIT*

Check out the news for Feb 20th -- the Bungie announcer was recording a "Grifball" line?

Leaked beta advertisement? Looks like it.

Noticed a few things that look great:

*punch to the gut at 1:25  (remaining -- these videos count down rather than up)
*Jetpacks as a loadout. Nice
*Forward dive roll at 1:23 and again at 0:42
*Assassination looks like my new favorite gametype

Haha. That looks amazing. Headhunter looks a little odd, but okay. And those loadouts look nice, though I really hope that loadouts don't include weapons.

I will enjoy Headhunter. It appears to be a SWAT game with Sonic-esque collectible drops every time someone is killed.

I have been waiting for Invasion for a long time, I even had a game set up like it for Halo 3. Unfortunately, the teams were random so some Spartans would be elites and vice versa. I hope at the beginning for the Elite side the announcer says "Wort Wort Wort" instead of "InnnnVAAAsion"

Also, jetpacks. So many good choices for armor abilities now, not sure if I want to be an active camo ninja or relive my experiences as a Jet Trooper.

When I saw that trailer, the first thought in my mind was, Halo is going to be Xbox LIVE King again.

IGN made some pretty good points here: http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/1427 ... ml?show=hi
I realllllly hope that a lot of those are right. The BR, for instance, if it stays I'll be happy. And then their guess about The Arena, if it is correct, would undoubtably be one of the best things to happen to Halo since, well, Halo. I hope that they don't keep recoil, though. I like that Halo didn't have it. Although, ADS with some guns would be sweet.

Wow -- they caught a LOT of things I wouldn't have.

Lots of things I noticed. First of all, it seems there's yet another buy-worthy soundtrack.

I'm also phsyched for the super homing vehicle needler. Woah.

And is it just me, or does the art style, especially the soldiers and how they look, seem radically different, almost Combat Evolved multiplayer-ish? It's the heights colors I caught on to first, then the red guy in CTF reminded me of SWBF2 Tantive, which was weird. However, I assume lots of those were alpha clips ( bottom right corner watermark: REACH_Alpha), so things may have changed. Assassinations looks cool but I think will be primarily anti-camper or singleplayer use, becuase pulling a move like that looks tough.

It looks to me like you can fight back during an assassination, because some seem to take longer than others.

This guy noticed even more than IGN, and though he kinda smothered some of my hopes that IGN seemed to be on to something with their good ideas, this guy noticed a crapload of other epic things. For instance, the radars are 3D, which will be nice with the jetpacks and all. He also managed to come up with what that mystery sound is for, and he seemed correct.
@Grev: Well, I'd imagine that they would want it to seem more like Combat Evolved, since Reach takes place before Halo 1.

That's hilarious... Though I can't imagine the backlash Bungie would get if they did leave it like that...

I hope they do. Teabagging is so retarded. The only great thing about it is when someone gets picked off by someone else while teabagging you. Otherwise it's downright retarded and white/black/brown/blue/green trash.

There, I said it.

I agree that Bungie should keep teabagging out, however I would not sacrifice the ability to crouch so that there is no teabagging though.

Ability To Crouch>No Teabagging

I think Bungie should at least make the crouch system a challenge so that teabagging takes far too much effort for the typical 8-year old to want to do. How they would do this, I don't know.

Nah, you can code around that.

Either that or there's an anti-teabag equpiment piece that loads anoyone who crouches on top of you with shrapnel. That'd be fun.
