Hello everyone,

Here is my first BF2 land map released!

Thankfully I haven't found any collision errors AT ALL!

Although I do believe, sadly enough  , this is the only map that doesn't have collision errors.

This map has the original paths, planning, barriers, hintnodes, and regions.
Read the readme for bug details.

-EDIT-
This is the new Mustafar: Refinery v1.0

Here's the link, enjoy!

Leviathan's edit : For GameToast members willing to get their hands down on an "Instant Action" Movie dedicated to this Star Wars Battlefront level, I would suggest downloading the "Mustafar Movie.zip" file from this Savefile URL...

Leviathan's edit #2 : Alright, in case owners of the Star Wars Battlefront level dealt in this thread would wish to download a minor Update intended to improve the integrating of this map inside the concerned LucasArts video-game, then here they go...

Off-topic : Do you know you will never cease to amaze me, Karnage ?... Once again, I have to say that this Star Wars Battlefront Project has been efficiently led and designed, but might I know if you have faced problems - Major or not - during the conversion of this Star Wars Battlefront II level ?

Great conversion of a great map. Well done.

I guess you won't get that bridge to be destroyable.
And you should add a death region in the lava. Some of the bots are
camping down there.

Thank you, and no I have not really had that many problems with this map. Some minor but no major.

Off-topic : By the way, Karnage, might I know whether you've integrated a "Mini-Movie" to this Star Wars Battlefront level, so as to provide a preview of it inside the "Instant Action" Mode's main Menu ?

If not the way to do it is described in:

I've no longer got SWBF1 but it's good to see the new maps & units etc... being made available to those who prefer or only own SWBF1. Is there the intention of eventually having a mappack with allthe SWBF2 levels for SWBF1?

No I do not Leviathan, I completely forgot about a mini movie for Instant Action, thanks for reminding me.

I'll have to work on that.

Leviathan I understand now that you can't download the BF2 Mod Tools itself so you can't mod with it (am I right?), I will release the source files when I am finished.

Two things:

1-Would there be interest in a BF2 ground map pack for BF1, similar to the BF1 conversion pack for BF2? If so we should work on a 'pack'.

2-In the end I can do some intro movies. I don't have BF1 installed nor the mod tools, but a month or two down the road I can do them for all the maps that have been released. It takes me about 20 min for each one.

Whoa, i took a look at those pics and thought "well that looks good, tho' it does look too much like the original mustafar level, well at least he has changed the sides a bit." then i thought "hey, how has he got free cam mode working for BF2", then i looked down at the posts and soon realised that ITS BF1!!!. so yeah great conversion work there, i honestly though it was a new mustafar level for BF2!!! lol

Sadly enough, I have tried almost every map, and all but 2 or 3 don't have massive collision problems (run through a wall or fall through the floor). The other maps have such massive problems that it wouldn't be worth trying to find every little spot you could walk through or fall through and place a block or tile under it to make it stable.

I'm guessing that maybe the only way of telling this is by maybe a poll, unless we have ways of monitoring the amount of people who are still (since the release of SWBF2) downloading the various SWBF1 mappacks. I'm assuming though that that's not possible as they're hosted in multiple places. I'm guessing that there would be at least some call for a pack of this sort and if GT can provide it then that can only be good and may reignite interest in modding for SWBF1.

D'oh!

Off-topic : Yes, that's right, Karnage : The Personal Computers I am usually using in order to design Modifications for Star Wars Battlefront are in fact Workstations I've reconverted into standard Computers, but this procedure seems not to have sufficed to install either Star Wars Battlefront II or this LucasArts video-game's Modification Tools, as these Platforms' Technical Specifications are not handled by them...
But regarding this "Mustafar : Refinery" level, do you know if a Video shipping with Star Wars Battlefront II could be used as "Mini-Movie" intended to this map's conversion ?

Good thought Leviathan! :D

Why didn't I think of that, i'll check that out.

I have only 3 or 4 maps to try and convert (hopefully with success), but don't get your hopes up.

Off-topic : Well, Karnage, might I know whether you could submit me the exact "[ModID]" label used by this Star Wars Battlefront level, since I might be highly interested in associating it a "Mini-Movie" ?

Thanks in advance !...
