I just got a 360 for Halo 3 a few weeks ago and it's awesome! The graphics are amazing. I was surprised of how less swearing there was in this one, but that's good. I think it's the best of the two Halos that have come before it. What do you think?

And there still is some language. Play Legendary.

My favorite in the series, due to the graphical upgrades and weapons tweaking and balancing, even though there is no Brute Plasma Rifle.
The multiplayer is much more fun than Halo 2's, due to the massive amount of glitching that plagues that game. Plus, there's the gametype "Fat Kid", and my own variant "It's 98% Leg Muscle" (aka Extreme Fat Kid)
And spending ~$40 on DLC was totally worth it

I haven't played the 3rd yet. I own the 2nd but haven't gotten the extra money to get the 3rd. The graphics do look good from the gameplay but the Halo 2's graphics weren't very good but off course it was an Xbox original.

Post updated- new poll.
My favorite is Halo 3.
I'm finished playing the campaign now and I wanna try to find the skulls. I looked on utube for some help in finding them and I know where the first one is the "Blind Skull" but when I go to its location on mission Sierra 117, it doesn't appear there. Any ideas why not? I'm try it on easy since I just wanna get the skulls and not have any trouble.

You need to play on normal, from the beginning of the level. You cannot start at Sierra 117's Rally Point Alpha, for instance, and be able to find the Iron Skull.
Just warning you, IWHBYD is by far the most annoying skull, because it is at the end of the longest level of the game, on normal and higher, and will take you almost 3 hours with inexperience (which, assuming you just got the game, is going to happen. That Wraith is the most annoying thing ever.)
At least the halo ring jumping order was shortened, I had to do the ~20-step variant on September 27th, 2007

So if I want to get all the skulls I have to start at the beginning and play through it all again and not just jump to the rally points?

Btw, I have played all the Halos before, so why would Halo 3 be any different?

I've only played Halo 1 before, and while it was good, I wasn't into it enough to get Halo 2. And since I have no plans to get an Xbox, I guess that means I'll never play Halo 3

It is, You may have played the other halos, but the levels are different, and so are the game mechanics.
And yes, you must start at the beginning of the level to get the skulls for that level.

I played the Crow's Nest mission last night and I found both the skulls but I didn't get any new armor from them.

Well I liked 3 alot and still play it but I reckon 1 was the most well done and storyline wise the most epic
And in 1 the flood were the scariest while in 3 there just annoying

Naw, the flood were MUCH scarier in 3.
Mutiplayer-wise H3 blows the other two out of the water. A lot of MP maps in Halo 1 had really crappy textures and were very basic. Halo 2 was a step up with truly thought out maps and DLC, but with Halo 3 you've got tons of DLC, plus Forge, which is the closest thing a console user is ever going to get to a map editor, and can really change dynamics. When you're talking gameplay H3 still beats the other two. H1 had no dual wielding, H2 was again a step up but was a total glitch fest, but H3 has everything the last two did, plus armor premutations, equippables, new vehicles, and better governed (against cheaters) gameplay.

Agreed. Just thinking of the flood gives me shivers.
I love the big warthog race at the end of the campaign. Boy that's fun! Avoiding obstacles that are either going to crash into you or blow up under you. And not to mention avoiding all the flood that goes by...

Was that in Halo 1, too? I seem to remember Wart Hogs and such at the end. Also, even thoguh I've only played Halo 1, the Flood also gives me shivers. They're pretty much super zombies that crowd you. And, being zombies, I guess that's why the shotgun kills them easily.

Ya, there was a big warthog race at the end too.

I reckon they should remake the first 2

The first one for sure. Halo 2 still looks decent, but replaying Halo 1 you can really see the lowrez textures.

Heck yes, they should remake the first one with the mechanics and graphics from 3. I've never played 3, but it seems to be the best balanced and most enjoyable for MP. I really enjoyed Halo:CE, but I never finished 2 as it got boring too quick, the novelty of the Energy Sword and dual weapons (how they did it) is all I liked in it. Single player in 2 felt Strained and tacked on as an after thought.
