I'm also reading Matthew.Nova Hawk wrote:Ah, good book. I just finished reading through that a couple weeks ago. I think I'm gonna start in either Ephesians or James.GangsterJawa wrote:Proverbs. The Crucible? As in the play by Arthur Miller?Grev wrote:Finished the Crucible. Still trying to get hooked on Walden. I'm waiting for that point where I'll just stop going anywhere without it until I finish. But for now, just biting off small pieces.
Yup, Crucible the play.Ping wrote:The Crucible? As in the play by Arthur Miller?Grev wrote:Finished the Crucible. Still trying to get hooked on Walden. I'm waiting for that point where I'll just stop going anywhere without it until I finish. But for now, just biting off small pieces.
Anyways, I've finished a book on the UN, and now I've started reading the Dark Nest trilogy - all collected in one volume. Seriously.
Matthew seems to be the popular book right now. I think Mark, Luke, and John are getting left out... maybe I'll read one of them to not make them feel left out.Fierfek wrote:I'm also reading Matthew.Nova Hawk wrote:Ah, good book. Give John a try. Its rather unique, in that its more focused on Jesus then the others, as John was his favourite disciple and knew him better. We've just finished reading that as a family ourselves. We just moved on to 1 Corinthians, which seems like a pretty good book.Nova Hawk wrote:Matthew seems to be the popular book right now. Read the Myth series by Robert Asprin, if you like that kind. Only word of warning is that a few of the books have some... suggestive content, although nothing explicit.lucasfart wrote:In more fictional terms, i've just been reading some Raymond E. Feist books. Although they're pretty old, they're still really good books. Definitely worth a read if you like a little bit of magic and other worlds....

OKAY, I'm sorry, but it had to be done.
Right now, the book I'm reading is Skin, by Ted Dekker. Pretty neat stuff.

Then again, teachers give good insight on books. I never would've liked One Flew Over a Cuckoos Nest as much as I do now had my teacher not opened my eyes to all it's intricacies. Then again, all my schools English teachers are awesome.redgroupclan wrote:To Kill a Mockingbird.
It seems like it'd actually be a good book. Too bad I get interrupted practically every 5 sentences to add a new character to the character list I have to make. Then after that I have to do a journal response for each of the 5 chapters I read at a time. Only to be congratulated with a quiz afterwards.
And English teachers are trying to encourage students to read more on their own? Hah.
Because of English teachers reading is only an unpleasant memory for me.
Heh. I have good memories of conducting "Interviews" of characters in books such as Smaug the dragon, in the hobbit, and romeo from....what do you think? Some of the guys are a crackup with theirs, making comercials in the middle of things like calulators and whiteboard cleanerGrev wrote:Then again, teachers give good insight on books. It is a good book, but what your teachers are doing is probably going to detract from its greatness.redgroupclan wrote:To Kill a Mockingbird.

I had to read that for my lit class last year and so far it's the only book I've liked out of all the other books I've had to read.redgroupclan wrote:To Kill a Mockingbird.

I've never played TFU, but i loved that book. Its got a pretty good storyline. Also, never seen that RA cover, is it a new one?Nova Hawk wrote:I had to read that for my lit class last year and so far it's the only book I've liked out of all the other books I've had to read.redgroupclan wrote:To Kill a Mockingbird.
