run in compatibility mod,
run as admin,
reinstall
For me it always happens after a while, so i'm using XSI Softimage 2015 now instead of the old Mod Tools version

You can get it for free if you're a student/educator/etc.
https://www.autodesk.com/education/free ... /softimage

Actually, I'm a student and it doesn't allow me to download it at all. Nothing is selectable and it just suggests Maya or 3DS Max.

Autodesk is in the Softimage phase-out period, the website is being restructured and Softimage is no longer listed under free educational software for newcomers, they are trying to funnel them into Maya and 3ds Max. It probably won't be long before they cut off access to Softimage educational version from the license servers which would effectively lock you out of the software.

Yeah it states on its page that product support (Which I guess includes new licenses) ended April of 2016. So the only way to upgrade now is by alternative methods.

That's a little odd considering the fact that last month I was able to obtain a new license (using my old college e-mail - shhhh don't tell anyone

) to re-install it. Granted I was using an existing account that had Softimage licensed to it previously, so I dunno.
