<3 you for sky diving idea. mabey postion a laat/i/droid gunship/imperial dropship and rebel laat/i up there so it looks like your jumping from it? But awsome idea. I just had a thought. you could have this for a start of a mission set at night? Just an idea awsome dude like the gritty Guerilla mode my type of game mode. Wicked dude

Probably won't have a dropship, mainly because dropships from either side were more for landing and debarking from than jumping off of. No mission either; I want to avoid adding in too many features. This is mainly a fun little ZE mapping excersise with a few things I've been wanting to test out thrown in.

Well, they would have had to of sky dived from somewhere. Maybe a few capital ships floating in the lower atmosphere would quell this problem...
But I do like the sd idea, especially being a MOH Airborne fan.
It looks like a great map, and I look forward to the release.

I apologize for the lack of updates. I wanted to post again when I had some new pics to show, but I'm only being able to work on this map sporadically. Cutting out guerilla mode, it seems - there's little chance on my setting up everything for that before the new year, and I did say I only wanted to spend December on this. Eh, I may release a patch later. And for those modders who'll criticize me for sacrificing gameplay aspects to make a deadline (classic BF2, there), I'll reply that I never took this map seriously, and it was more of an idle excersise until I got my other project files back. (Which, btw, is taking far longer than expected....)

It seems Omega neglected to take pictures of this, but at the time of this map's posting I already had one such base set up.

With guerilla mode gone, this map is at roughly 95% completion. I got the skydiving trooper in, though my testers have yet to report on how well the skydive turns out. I also made another base for the CIS at the opposite end of the island, and also two neutral CPs at the east and west poles. I added planning and barriers (whew!). What prevents me from posting picture updates is an odd condition in which several objects within barriers show up black, and some show up not at all.

(If you see the original pics, the objects that show up black are those that in the pics appear to be blazing firery orange: Felucia props, them).

Any help is appreciated.

The lighting's very pretty, but to be honest the objects look a little jumbled up from the screnshots. :?
