Classic Conquest sides question?

In Classic Conquest, why is the grenade launchers for the imperial and CIS pilot ported wrong?

The grenades are supposed to explode on impact unless "charged up" maximum. In the mod they don't explode on impact they roll out like the SWBFI wookiee grenade launcher (but they are considerably less powerful)

Was this left out for a reason?

Maybe you should buy a couch and then do the following:

Sit down on it, think nothing else that and then after 40 weeks you will know why ;)

And I think you misunderstood Teancum. He meant he forgot, as in he forgot to include the feature Kitfisto is asking about, not that he forgot why it was left out.

the real mean is that this is nothing to worry about ;) but its really a joke only for germans ;)
but you are rught i meant a meditation session (meditation is the german word but i think it stays the same in english.
theese two together (that this is nothing to worry about) and the mediation session is a very german joke (i know its bad explained but my english sucks :/ )

I happen to be german, but i never heard about meditation beeing used in jokes nor do I find it funny in any way :?

Nope. Both Mav and I washed our hands of it loooooong ago and there are source files we promised would never be released, so we can't pass it on.

Wait you still have the source files?! Wow, I would have thought that they were long gone by now since the last release was '08. :cpu:

I don't understand the reasoning behind your amazement. All the source files has to do is sit on a hard drive undisturbed, and then it will last, unless something unfortunate happens (but this is where backup copies come into play). Source files don't decay or have limited life span. Also, modders just don't dispose of their source files once they are done working on their project, especially one as big as the Conversion Pack.

Well something that big seems like it would get in the way and someone would delete it. Especially if the project is closed forever and the assets that were to be released are already released.

I have made a few small mods and I have the assets on a flash drive but I don't know why. :)


Is there a tiny chance the convo pack will ever be continued by anyone?

Yes AQT i agree modders dont delete assets but Teen said that he wont mod Battlefront anylonger so i see no reason why he should keep this :) But maybe its me i also see no reason why the authors of the assets dont want them to be released :D But this is a topic that has been discussed in the past so i also see no reason for this post :D Man life is reasonless

Pretty much my reasoning. Why keep assets that you won't continue or release?

The same reason why AAA publishers don't just release their assets to the public: it's their own work and they want to keep it that way.

Just out of curiosity and for the sake of clarification, did said modders trust you, Mav and Tean specifically, to keep the source files? So they're never seeing the light of day again because you two, personally, are done?

Or, hypothetically, if someone were to start a project to "clean up the Conversion Pack" to try and make it more stable, less cluttered, and patch up more things like the grenade thing mentioned by this topic, and the project got enough traction and momentum to where you trusted it to actually be a potential thing, could you and would you trust the head of the project enough to pass the files onto him and him alone?

But then why keep the assets at all for a mod that is closed with no release of assets ever.
