[statement] listed below are some questions that are needed by me.
[query] 1.) Is it possible to make a movable light that a unit could carry?
and if so how would one do this?
2.) could I make a flare type thing (as in a throwable light source)?
3.)how do you make tunnels in a map?
4.) how could I make a moving elevator or a cable car that could take units up a mountain?
5.) how would I make a building with five or six floors (like an office building) that could be destroyed along with an internal command post?
several important questions!!??

oh many question!
1.) the carryable light could be an edited lightsaber(edit the odf), but its still a weapon...
3.) get hoth_bldg_tunnel_exit and place it into ZE, it is a terreaincutter, after the terraincutter you can put what you want, its like a entrance
4.) animate the objekt in ZE, dont ask how!
5.) make a new msh and a exp in XSI

Hmm... a throwable flare, you say...
I've got a few ideas:
1. A mine that is thrown, doesn't explode and has a different geometry.
2, A grenade with an enhanced glow effect, a really long lifespan, and no explosion.
3. A grenade that emits light upon explosion. (Timebomb explosion with no damage or push, possibly?)
Someone more experienced may need to explain.

4) I think someone made an elevator a while back that you could look up in past threads. However, I believe it was done using lua and regions, so I hope you're not expecting an animated model like the cruiser doors in the space maps. It's more realistic, but it'd probably be less work to make a looping animation for an object, which you can do in ZE.
