I came across this a day ago, and I LOVE it!

Portal The Flash Version Mappack is a pack of maps, based on the flash version of portal found on this site:

Note the "Test chambers" in this Flash version are very different from Portals normal levels, it's not just a flash copy of Portal.

The maker duplicated all the flash version maps, into Portal 3D maps, and it is high quality. It is also much more challenging then the original Portal maps, I'm trying really hard to beat it without using noclip, if that gives you any idea.

The maps flow seamlessly just like the regular game, when you get to a certain point, you stop a "Loading" thing pops up, and your on the move again. The whole map pack is also quite large, maybe bigger then the original game itself. The maker also included lots of original GLADoS Voice overs, so it feels like the original maps.
It's like having a Portal 2!


Thats the map, to low detail to really help you, or spoil anything, so I thought it worth posting.

1. More than 40 test chambers.

• Level design similar to the orginial Portal style

• Level difficulty is balanced, like the original

• New gameplay elements, such as the Electric Floors, Crushers, Blue and Red frizzles from the Flash version.

Well I loved it, and I thought the "Bowel" parts of the facility felt more "Real" then the original game, and overall offered alot of cool new features, and challenging gameplay.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but what is portal? Is it a part of Half Life, or a seperate game? Anyways, this looks cool!

It's a separate game, (with alot less violence, if your parents have a problem with that) but it exists in the Half Life universe, and the events in it take place sometime after Half Life 1, or atleast that is the impression given.

I hope the Portal story collides with Half Life story someday

They do, Aperture Science owns the Borealis which is said to play a big part in Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Oh gosh...this took me forever. Especially that small maze area.

Very good mappack though.

It's an exact replica of the flash version. I can't remember if I used no-clip, I know I was sure tempted to.

Nice, too bad you need HL2 for this too. Which I should get today if nothing else goes wrong again.

Lol, common misconception, you infact do NOT need HL2 to play portal custom maps, I don't after all. All you need is Portal, and the Source SDK + the Source SDK Base.
