It's basically a foundation for the merc sides, which so far, consists of only the Eclipse. All of the unit textures were created by WULF and they all look fantastic. :)

They look really nice! Can't wait to play this mod. Just curious - how much are you planning on adding before a first release? Everything?

Does that mean that they will be replaceing Eclipse units ? (Because I think there can only be 1 or 2 more units as maximum ammount per side)
Cool lasers btw and I like the rocket of the YMIR Mech :)

So I finally started playing Mass Effect 2 (friend lent me a copy, I gotta give it back soon) so that I know about the Eclipse and Blue Suns. Killed enough of those guys already. Also sniped a lot of vorcha (head hunter achievement for the win?). Dunno, might go back to Omega and annoy more of them. *shrugs* But yes, awesome work on the Eclipse mercs. Can't wait to shoot more of them! Well, I can wait and have to wait, but I guess I'm just excited for this mod. Great update! Gotta play some more ME2 today speaking of this. :o

No, but given how I phrased it I can see how you might have gotten that impression.

Steller Veil was a code name for the project, I didn't let Marth know at first what Steller Veil was but I wanted to be able to let him know what I was working on at any point and time. Thus, I named it. He'd be all like "wassup!" and I'd be all like "I'm working on Steller Veil!" and he'd be all like ":O."

Both the Eclipse and Blue Suns will each have their own separate team (for one thing, they hate eachother. They only have teamed up twice, once to try and take down the vigilante Archangel, and a second time to fight the Reapers. Any other time, and they are fighting eachother). Does this mean we will have the Eclipse and Blue Suns fight eachother? Maybe. What is for sure, is that the Eclipse and Blue Suns are added to the rotation of random enemies the Alliance Marines have to fight. The Geth, The Collectors, The Eclipse, and The Blue Suns.

Marth liked the name, Steller Veil, so he's kept it. It was a reference to the teams. Steller (Blue Suns), and Veil (another word for Eclipse).

I don't think we'll do the third, final merc group. The Blood Pack. There are too few units in The Blood Pack to make it worthwhile. But we'll see.

The engineer and the operative's face masks look rather flat. I'd recommend making some simple addon mesh for it. The YMIR also looks nothing like a YMIR :P but there's nothing in the BF2 assets that comes close anyway.

I've seen it spelled both ways, but Chrome did tell me it was Stellar. Besides, it's a name. It doesn't have to be spelled exactly the same. I mean heck, look at my name. Wulf. :P

This particular render would definitely not be a watermark, but instead something like a general background or something for something or something, I dunno, I'll figure it out.

Yeah, I think I have Way-Too-Obsessed-With-Neat-Material-Shaders-And-Lighting Disorder...

Try to take the 3rd pic and lay the 2nd over it. delete the background of the 2nd one, but not the glow effect. i think this can be gread. Maybe some other background? (a ingame pic for example (not nesesary for the 3rd pic, but if you take the 1st or 2nd it would be better)

It's just a watermark to put in the corner of images/videos. I don't even know why I added the blank slate of a backdrop anyways. :o
