I'm not listening to the reviews on this one. Main reason, like you said, it's been in development in 3 different decades. Things have changed so much and Gearbox isn't a miracle work.
I'm looking for over the top action and silliness. And I'm going to have fun. I don't want DNF to be the best game ever, just to be fun. I'll post a review later this week.
Thank you Nihillo for that post.

Yeah, I played the demo back when the First Access Club got it, and I wasn't all that impressed. I mean, it is fun and all, but I'd say it's probably not worth the $50. It could've just been the demo though, as I haven't really read or heard anything about it besides here.
EDIT: Oh wow. It's Metacritic is currently a 62. Well, now that it's out worldwide I'm sure more people will be able to review it, as right now it only has 9 reviews, but still. A 62 is really low.
Eh, regardless on the reviews it gets, I'll probably still buy it when the price goes down a bit. Should be fun.

Well it's not as bad as some people are making it out to be, I can tell you that much... but I guess you guys will be the judge of that, since it's coming out in America today.
Just remember: forget everything they told you about Duke Nukem Forever, sit back, relax, grab a beer (or the non-alcoholic beverage of your preference) and enjoy it for what it's worth.

I've put in two hours so far. Like 90% in campaign. It's so much fun and funny. It just feels different in a good way. I've just enjoyed it more than most campaigns in fps's of recent.
I love the multiplayer. Well I should say, I currently love how the weapons are around the map. None of that custom class stuff. Old skool fps multiplayer I find alot more fun. Scrabbling to get the better weapons instead of spawning with your prefered.
Grant it in certain games it's an integral part, but I want a break from that. And that's where Duke comes in.
