[WIP] Battlefront Extreme - Status: 99%!

Well, here it is so far. I've been working on this for one heck of a long time (5 months, I think), and I've just recently gotten it to a state where I can start a WIP topic.

Anyway, this is a big side mod. I've changed all the starfighter stats, modified practically every weapon, made new skins, added FPV to everything, made proper legions, added new heroes, and added extra units (Conversion Pack-style). So, without further ado, here are the screenies:

I've still got a few problems to iron out:

- ARC-170 tailgun view
- ARC-170 bomber view
- Kashyyyk CW Conquest crashes mysteriously
- Faster heal on certain starfighters
- Torpedoes on tanks don't lock on, even though I changed the class label
- Republic pistol HUD tag doesn't appear
- Need better Magnastaff
- Hero crashing
- Commander Bacara's cape
- Have to add Rebel insignia to the Rebel Marine's armour. It's sweet
- And more...

I'll post the class layout sometime soon. (And shrink the pics. :P)

UPDATE: Here's the major changes:

- Clones use carbines (semi-auto, pistol damage, 500 ammo) as secondary, and rifle as primary - both JKA models.
- All infantry lasers travel faster
- Battle droids emit sparks and smoke when damaged (thanks ]v[)
- ]v['s Dark Trooper, slightly modified
- SBD is the assault unit for CIS, a standard B1 is the rifleman
- Trandoshan Mercenary replaces the old Magna
- Three new classes added:
Recon
CIS - IG droid with incinerator (Thx Delta_57_Dash and JabbaLovesLava)
REP - Shadow trooper / Camo trooper (Kashyyyk) with stealth carbine
ALL - Bothan with incinerator
IMP - Shadow stormie (black armoured stormie with stealth)
Commando
CIS - Magnaguard with staff (need a better one)
REP - Republic Commando! Hooray!
ALL - SpecForce Commando - looks like a real-world commando
IMP - Storm Commando - black scout trooper with EE-3
Commander - have orbital strike binocs (thx Teancum)
CIS - Commander droid
REP - Map-specific commander, has a VERY powerful heavy rifle. Almost as good as the ARC rifle
ALL - Rebel officer - custom skin
IMP - Imperial officer - skin from Conversion pack
- Wookiee has claw melee (looks normal too, yay!), thanks MasterSaitek
- Paratrooper on Utapau - has Vader's hover
- ARC troopers on Kamino - outnumbered by droids 3 to 1, extremely fun
- Jet trooper has a custom arc caster as his secondary, uses a reskinned binoculars model
- Backpack rockets (from Syth), concussion grenades, and EMP grenades added
- All riflemen have stun shots, courtesy of Syth - I used a heck of a lot of his stuff in this pack. Kudos to him!
- Imperial and Republic engineers have deployable E-Webs
- Proper armour on the clones
- Rebel engineer has the pilot skin
- New rebel vanguard skin
- Bowcasters are single-shot
- Battle droids don't lose stamina
- A few locals have been modified - eg. Tusken gaffi stick (from JKA), Gungan spear throwers, Wookiee rockets from RC (having trouble with it at the moment), Wookiee blasters from ML-Kashyyyk, etc. I also used lots of Dragonum's and Jawakiller's stuff. Thanks, guys!

Phew. I think that's it. I'm aiming for release at the end of the month.

So long as things stay balance I'd say this will probably be a definite download for me too. Be sure to pack your mod up into one addon folder. Penguin/I made a tutorial how in the Modding forum. It means you can have all your maps together, but the game thinks it's one map.

Is "Qdin's commander cody" the one made by OOM-9? if so when/where was it released :? Looks great BTW :D

Actually "Qdin's Commander Cody" was made by Qdin, not OOM-9. :wink:

As for this mod, Awesome! I love the ARCs on Kamino. Kashyyyk looks awesome too. Definintly D/L this one. :D

@Teancum: It's not a map pack - it's a mission.lvl mod and a bunch of sides. And by the way - I've gone through a LOT of testing to make sure that it's as even as possible.

They're released in the [ML] Kashyyyk sides and world folders found in the Released Maps and Mods forum.

Looking great. I like how you packed so much into a side mod. It makes it worth while to download.

If you wait a bit, t551 and Schizo should have the my DC-17m textured and exported. Majin Gets first crack at it on the SWBF2 side, but we all can talk. I think this mod deserves it seeing as it's 5 months work.

If you need effects, I can work some up for you. I have a concussion rifle effect set and some new explosions already. I'll be working on new rocket trails too.

I bet hexediting the mission.lvl was fun :P.

BTW, where did 00M-9 release that Cody. I've looked all over and havent found any trace of it except his WIP thread.

Why exactly do you need his permission to let other people use your stuff? Just because he wants them before anyone else doesn't mean you have to do as he says, they are still yours...

Well, yeah, but obiously he wants Majin to use it first. Majin's maps are popular, so you get lots of exposure, and he always gives credit.

@VF501: I'll see the DC-17m, and compare to what I have already. If I like it, it's in. And I'll take the conc rifle effects - I've got a repeater on the Trando at the moment, but a conc would be cooler. And I didn't hex the mission.lvl. :P As for the Cody - it took a lot of prying around on Filefront. Qdin let me use it - apparently, he's got something to do with it.

@t551t551 - My credits list is very long. I put on everyone.

@Phyzzle - I've got the Marines, Shock Troopers, new 501st, 212th, 327th, 41st, and white clones. Every stock planet, plus Coruscant City and Streets.

you should add Dwarf Spider Droid to utapau and kashyyyk maps. and maybe a juggernaut too. and fix the AAT bug in utapau because the AI doesnt use the tank...
