A-Wing / Terrain dimensions / Regular Human model /AI paths

1-I saw one posted on Fred's site, but I didn't know if it was a WiP, released, or what. Anyways, I'd like to use it in my Haruun Kal (from the novel Star Wars: Shatterpoint) Jungle map.

2-Okay, so we know that 512x512 can get a bit problematic, but my real question is what are the qualifications for terrain? I.E.

-Power of 2? (128x128, 256x256)
-Does is have to be square, or can it be rectangular? (like 128x256)
-Does 384x384 work in BF, and if so, how close is that to the 'safe' edge?

3-Are there any human models w/o hats and stuff that would work for allies?

4-How can I plot out AI paths? I have things like a lake and steep hills between command posts, and the AI often get stuck.

Hmm... I'm really surprised how easy ZeroEdit is to use. I love it. I mean, I haven't done anything special yet, but I've done 3 test maps in 3 days and it's been a lot of fun!

Cool! Harunn Kal (never finished reading the book, but the polanets sounded cool) Well, i can't really help with anything but number 3. The only model the doesnt have a hat is Luke Skywalker, you could use him and change the face by editing it ;)

Hmm... Luke might work -- who knows. Yeah I'm really excited about Huruun Kal. My only real problem will be keeping it from looking Endor/Yavin-ish, due to lack of textures. But hopefully we won't have any problems. :D

the A-wing on fred's site is from BF2 (i think) but there was a modded a-wing that never finished. (not sure if it's still wip)

you can change textures to make the trees purplish... or blueish... whatever you want. You find the textures in the asssets folder. Will it just be a jungle map? Or will you havea camp (where mace found the holocron from Depa Billaba(sp?)) Maybe you could do it with tusken huts and dead luke's onm the floor. Then give the floor a red tint :)

Well, It's going to be just mid-jungle. It's much easier to do for a first released map.
