I have a question. Ok, at the end of the mission called "The Covenant", after Commander Keyes smashes through the glass and attempts to rescue Sergeant Johnson, the Prophet says something like "You can not hope to kill them all", why does she point the pistol at Johnson?

The prophet reffers the the brute guards, so she decides it would be smarter just to kill the two humans who could activate the rings.

Yep. Only humans can activate the rings, as the Forerunner species was revealed to be human. So if Keyes kills herself and Johnson nobody will have a pulse to activate the rings.

Thire wrote:Halo CE typically refers to the actual full title of the first game Halo: Combat Evolved. However it also refers to Halo Custom Edition. They are the same engine, except Custom Edition is the version of the game that can be modded. Plus Custom Edition is only multiplayer, as in the campaign is not in it.
Yeah, I think I almost figured that part out, but is was the Custom Edition ever in stores? I never saw it in any case.

Halo Custom Edition is a free downloaded standalone version of the game which can be downloaded here.

:)

Does Gametoast have any plans for the 4 vs 4 Bungie vs. The World?

I bet Fusion and Thire probably would play, as would I and another buddy of ours. My 360 currently isn't hooked up to the interwebz right now though, and we'd probably get slaughtered.

:( I don't have the original version. I once saw it, but thought that it wasn't interesting because most of the online player section had stopped + you couldn't mod it (if only I had known then)

Bungie vs The World = 4 vs 4 matches...one team is bungie...the other is normal people...if you win you are awarded recon. Also if you special feats, you are also awarded recon (to be anounced after Bungie day).

Yeah, you get recon for beating them, but thats honestly at the slightest chance you get matched up with them. So if I end up going in to that playlist, its gonna be a spur of the moment deal, I dont plan ahead on Bungie Day. :P

We played with our 4 team for a few hours, didn't even find them. We did have fun on the new variants though, and my prior knowledge of Pivotal was very useful in confusing people.

Also, new maps yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

 The new maps look awesome. Longshore definitely looks the best of the three of them IMO.

Yeah, I'm really impressed. I'm glad they used Old Mombassa for Longshore. I seriously doubt we'll get any more new maps after this, but one more Covenant-themed Sandbox-esque map would be great, along with a Blood Gulch/Coagulation remake (which Valhalla sortof is), or even better, a remake of Prisoner from Halo 1.
