I've just noticed this, I've stopped getting E-mails from guru telling me I have a PM. Why is this so?

Via profile -> board preferences -> "Notify me on new private message" to no

But it's always been on "yes". And I have gotten E-mails before. But now all the sudden I don't.

Oh, you want them turned back on. Now that you say it, I haven't received notifications last time as well. It's probably (hopefully) just a temporary problem.

But it might help guru / other admins figure out what it is easier if they knew when it stopped working. So, when was the last time it worked and the last time it didn't?

Well, I don't depend on it, but I just said that I did notice it. The only pain is, the reason that I noticed it was because I was clearing out my inbox. So I have no idea when I received my last notification.

Me too. Sorry guys.

I'm 100% sure (without asking Guru) that he turned that feature off. He gets 50+ bounced emails every day due to people with fake email address/hotmail/yahoo email addresses in their profile. I can tell your right now that he won't turn it on again. This has been a recurring problem for years now. Blame the folks who have fake/crappy emails. Sorry.

yes. after asking 500 times to have people update their email addresses, i just shut off pm notifies, this way every time someone does something on the site i dont get emails about it, nothing is more fun then being busy with real stuff and sorting 55 emails from the site saying "joe loser has recevied a bounce email from your pm about nothing important".

the resolution for me that is best is remove/disable.
