That's a German Soldier, and he hasn't given it to me yet.

Warning: Long post!
Unfortunatley, not close enough if you want to be accurate historically.
Par and other new mappers please read:
I strongly, strongly recommend you look into some tutorials of how to add things like foliage and how to set up a map properly. The getting started tutorial is your friend, I used it at first and I was able to set up my map in zeroeditor properly and all that good stuff. Secondly: I have to agree, focus more on the physical map itself and the gameplay of the map itself and not so much on the sides. It's only because I used to do what you did when I first started building custom sides: Getting hung up on them more than the map, and in the long run it isn't worth it. If you have great sides but the physical map has a lot of bugs and the atmosphere isn't realistic, well then your map is screwed to put it bluntly. You can make this map really good if you:
A: Read all of the tutorials on Gametoast's FAQ thread
and the docs in your modtools folder. Trust me: These things are key if you are a mapper and you will be able to eliminate like 90% of the CTD errors.
B: Focus on the environment more than the sides. I know you think otherwise, but trust me on this one.
C: Don't focus on small details as much as big details. Things like making sure the skins are perfect and waiting for people to make you stuff isn't all that you should be doing. You're a beginner mapper, so don't start of with advanced scripting/ skins. Spend your time on the map itself and make a really solid simple map as apposed to a really complex one that is buggy and not fun to play.
Not accussing you of anything here. Just please please take this advice, work at it and your map will in prove by 200% I garantee it! Good luck to you.

Thanks very much elfie for that!
Yes, I am working on the enviroment now, I've added a nice waterfall feature in the forest, and I'm trying to get back foilage, but atm I think I'll have to scrap the map as my addme has ruined it. My SWBF2 is crashing, I can't even play SWBF2 let alone any maps... It's cause of my addme. It has a error in the bf2log about Message Severity 3: Script addme.lua not found... and it is there, in my folder...

I recently wrote this in the modding forum:
There's really no reason to make an entirely new map just because of one error that you can't figure out, yet it seems like half the topics in this forum lately have a line somewhere saying "...so then I just made a new map." If you don't track down the source of a problem and try to fix it you won't learn how to deal with it in the future and you're bound to make the same mistake again.
I'm sure whatever problem you have with the addme.lua is easily fixable. Have you edited it at all? If so, compare it to working addme files from other maps to figure out where you went wrong.

Absolutley True! Compare the addme you have now to your original addme (You should always back up any files you edit btw).
I think I'll have to scrap the map as my addme has ruined it.

Plain and simple. If you are experiencing a crash then at least twenty other people have probably experienced it before. Do a search in the modding forum for keywords like addme.lua or crash. I know I had a topic 3-4 months ago called addme.lua headaches, that I believe solved the very problem you are experiencing.

My addme.lua got broken and I fixed it by copying and pasting a normal addme and making the changes, then cleaning.

Cool! Good to know.
BTW, are there going to be planes, or boats in this map?

Good, although I need help getting foilage on my map... I had a feeble attempt and all that appeared was those irratatingly large boxes (grey and white)
Otherwise, I'm waiting for Gen. Kenobi to give me his Nazi Soldier.
Check the first post for videos! There's a new one of a unit in WW2 Conquest.
I am still improving the map and I will upload 20 more screenies soon to replace the old ones.

You just need to make sure you have all the necessary .tgas, .mshs, and .odfs (and that you reference them properly in the .odfs and .prp). And if you haven't looked at it yet, there's a section in one of the docs that explains how foliage and .prp files are set up. I believe it's somewhere in the middle of one of the ZeroEditor guides.

yes, i have looked there several times, tried copying and pasting the example PRP file but it just ended up either crashing or the boxes coming up.

so far...
a few pointer........
1.The area where your water is, add a little foliage around the sides here and there, and also change the texture below the water to something a bit more murky.
2.Change your textures, I.E. don't have the same prevailing texture through out the whole map, add a little dirt track maybe criss crossing the foresty bits.
3.Height variation is a really key thing for map emersion, also its good to have textures coresponding to the height and terrain change, say you did make a dirt track, maybe you could make a small height variation, I.E. lower it a bit?
4.If you can do it yourself or if you can get someone to do it for you, add a few tanks and jeeps, maybe even a plane?!?

1: I will.
2: To which textures?
3: Yes, I have lots of low ground.
4: I can do this but the trouble is no-one really has any plane models or jeeps.
1.good
2.good dirt track textures can be found in the endor map. For the rest I suggest alot of yavin textures mixed up to give it a very varied look
3.yeah well, judging from you pics, its just needs a little more....more....hills mountains and valleys?
4.well, nothing to say really.
looooooov the zombies(except it would be kool if you tinted the skin of the darth maul thingy dark green...)
