The current mapinfo file doesn´t work with following entries:

CW,Abridon: CITY CW,abr1c,CIS,republic,350,350
GCW,Abridon: CITY GCW,abr1a,alliance,imperial,350,350

So i changed it to :

CW,ABRIDON: CITY CW,abr1c,CIS,republic,350,350
GCW,ABRIDON: CITY GCW,abr1a,alliance,imperial,350,350

because the mapname use also capital letters but this didn´t fix it.

Anyone knows what´s wrong ? Could it be that there is "CW" or "GCW" added behind the mapname?

some people reported that ":" made a problem, did not test it myself tho....

hm, all of my maps comes in standart mapplanet " : " location name and the other ones works well so far i know

and there are lot of custommaps with ":" in the name and they run without trouble.

If i host the Abridon map from ingame all works well but not on a dedicated server.
We test it without the both CW and GCW entries after mapname but this didn´t work too.

any luck on this...?

german keyboard? is there a difference in the ascii/binary produced by usa keys vs. other countries input keys? I dont know just curoius if this is related.

no no luck. We tried several changes but we can´t get the map running on a dedicated server.

hmm. very odd indeed. guess the map wont make it to the tourney hopefully this can be figured out so future release wont have issues

Here is the result of our current tests:

If i host the map from ingame (nondedicated) it works

If i host the map from ingame (dedicated) it works

But with the dedicated server software it doesn´t
We changed and edited the mapinfo a few times and we also created a new file with no luck. Server will crash then.

Maybe is that ANSI/UNICODE thing when you save mapinfo.txt in notepad. My uses ANSI....

Well i don´t think that´s because of german keyboards because there are at least 8 maps out made by germans and so far i know Abridon is the only one wich doesn´t work.
But we can give it a try if someone with a US keyboard version could create a mapinfo file and send it to me at [email protected]

I am trying to host my mod map with the dedicated server software as well. The software keeps crashing out when I run my mod. I copied the mapinfo txt file from the Tatooine add-on and changed the titles and filenames only.

Got it to work. delete the sound folder from within the Data\_lvl_pc folder and it works fine. My sounds appear to be working so I don't know what that folder is for.

i renamed the sound folder you find in the
abr1/data/_lvl_pc/ directory.
I´m just testing it online right now!

If anyone can spend a minute an join the ABRIDON: CITYSERVER please!

Server is running without crash since over an hour now.
Renaming the sound folder results in no new additional sounds wich means that some vehicles don´t have sounds.

So my question is:
Is this a map (sound folder) bug or a Dedicated server software bug?
