I started work on a Beam Cannon . Heres a pic...

Still WIP and subject to change. At the moment im just tryin to modifly the lasers so that it can be charged to produce a blue 'spider droid-esque ' beam.

This Cannon will pack a punch however it wont be a super gun ....im gonna balance it in with the shipped guns . Itl probably have less ammo and /or be quick to run out of a clip and/or reload slowly etc.

At present im thinkin of having it shoot long lasers which are slower than rifle lasers but will kill you in 2 hits (whereever you hit ) . Along with this it will charge up like mentioned above.


i guess im off to look at the spider droid laser odf ,bowcaster odf and the rep pilot odf.


This gun will most likely replace the rocket launcher in my IH map.

EDIT *** I will also release it (like L5R did with his t21) as a stand alone mod.

Drool... Sweet! but it looks like it should fire round spheres of energy. Oh well, maybe you can make 2 versions!

Chamboozer this isnt the halo gun you asked about but yes i got the idea when we talked about it .Its based upon the beam cannon in star wars galaxies but i just made it more battlefronty.

you mean the Stouker Concussion Rifle? Remember Naboo Encounter and the Bothan Spy with the odd cuncussion riffel that shot orbs? Can you make a version with orbs? It looks like it should shoot round projectiles. You could also make one with a beam of course, just like the stouker in Jedi Academy

its not a rifle . Its in fact supposed to be held like a launcher but shoot a beam. WIP

A continuous beam or single shot?

im not entirely sure at the moment. im havin difficulty makin it have 2 different kind of shots. i doubt itl be 1 contuous beam .... more like a very long ,concentrated beam ...when charged.

In fact i may kind of merge both our ideas together the normal firing could be spheres of energy whilst charging the gun would result in a beam blast

It could work like the pilots gun , in that ,in never runs out ...but overheats. I need to make a 1st person view for it (il have to catch up with L5R and ask him how he did his)

Then il TRY and add some of my many home made SFX for it .....tho the sound part of swbf confuses me a little
