Problem Getting Missing Stock Sounds to Munge

Post by razac920 »

Hi, I've read the tutorial on how to add missing stock sounds to maps, but I've had no success in getting it to work for me. When I try to munge, I don't get any .lvl file to appear, and all the information I get from VisualMunge is that "\MiKTeX was unexpected at this time." I have no idea what this means, or what's wrong.
I have replaced the three files with the ones here: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 27&t=18595
and I have edited the soundmunge.bat to use my 3-letter abbreviation, GGM.
At the moment I can't even get the tutorial to work, let alone my weapon set.

EDIT: So I think I found the problem, I copied and pasted the munge.bat (in _BUILD/Sound) from the Tutorial, which vastly predates the vista (windows 7?) munge fix. I tried using the fix for the munge, and now it seems to be working. At least, that error message went away.

EDIT2: So I got sounds to work, but it was more complicated than I thought. I started with the vista munge fix version of the munge.bat in _BUILD/SOUND and then manually edited it according to this tutorial: http://newbattlefront.ne.funpic.de/foru ... ?f=30&t=79.

Topic Solved.
