Download and install
7-Zip, right-click your map's 3-letter folder, 7-Zip > Add to archive..., select a name for your archive, set "Archive Format" to "7z", "Compression Level" to "Ultra", "Compression Method" to "LZMA", "Number of CPU threads" to the highest number available, (optional, but recommended: check "Create SFX archive" to compress the archive into an .exe file that anybody can open, even if they don't have 7-Zip) and press "OK". Don't try and use your computer while the map is compressed. Once it is finished compressing, upload the .7z (or .exe if you chose to follow the optional step) to FileFront (as well as MediaFire and FileFactory (or other file hosts) just in case for mirrors) and post the link wherever your heart desires.

But most people at other such star wars sites can't figure out how to download something that's WinRar... *sighs*

I don't recommend WinRar, it can only compress into ZIP and RAR, it's slower, and it's not as easy to use.
7-ZIP does almost everything WinRar can do, and it has several advantages as well. Specifically the ability to make self-extracting .exe files.

Ähm i do not know; do we talk about the same WinRar?
Self extracting exe are also Posible. In the 2nd post someone wrote you cannot use the PC while 7zip is working. So WinRar works in background.
For those who cannot download i postet the Link. RAR can open many Formates and use for the compresion rar/zip or exe. So which one you want more? I only use one fo them.
It's not slower. You can say how fast it should be (Priority)
If you say it schould work in Background and you play games, listen to musik or something like this, it takes longer. If you say Hight Priority, than your other work takes longer but RAR is faster.

RAR is faster but has generally a worse compression level than 7z. However it depends of the files you compress: If you want to compress the copy of an audio CD (so with audio data tracks) then RAR will be better since it supports the multimedia compression.
Talking of compression level the highest compression format ever made is UHA. It compresses 2 GB into ~400 MB. Nice, no?
Although it's a pretty unknown format and it's only supported by the softwares UHARC and UniversalExtractor.
But about the "background" thing, 7z also has a "background" button in its compression window; And you can surf on the net or play game very smoothly even with the max settings.
Well, to resume, there's a large choice of compression formats and programs available on the net, and you use the one you want.

Maybe, maybe not. It's been awhile since I used WinRar.

"Someone" You couldn't take the 2 seconds to scroll up to see who it was?- Never mind.
Marth, is actually making a suggestion and mistakenly making it sound like a requirement. 7-Zip works in the background, I use it all the time, trust me. It's just a suggestion to let it compress it and not do anything, as they will help things go faster. I still recommend it when compressing very large files (Anything more than 1 GB).

In addition to have a better compression ratio like Helkaan said, 7-Zip
also opens many formats, and can use .rar, .zip, .7z, .tar, and .exe for compression formats. It also has a more intuitive integration into the Windows Shell. I rarely need to actually open 7-Zip up, as I can just use the shell interface.
Plus, unlike WinRar which is shareware at best, 7-Zip is freeware.
Long story short, the
only feature WinRar has that I care at all about is the ability to repair archives. Even then it's not enough to make me want it on this computer.
