This episode's weakness wasn't the gungans (even though their dialogue is very obnoxious) but the pacing. This could have easily been a two-parter.

I agree 100%. I think the Gungans were actually used very tastefully (even Jar Jar!). Unfortunately, critical parts of the story were rushed. In the first two minutes, the mystery of the Gungan leader acting funny was solved. Then the Gungan army is convinced to stand down in about 30 seconds. Then the hostage exchange occurs within about two minutes of Anakin being captured. What could have been a great two-part story arc was made into a lackluster single episode.

It's a testament to Anakin's increasing power. Before, Dooku could have apprehended him single-handedly but now he was barely able to do it with the magnaguards. I suppose this is all build-up to their fight in Revenge of the Sith.
Except him getting caught all the time kind of contradicts that. It's a story element that has been used MANY times on Anakin alone in both the movies and the cartoon, and it's kind of getting annoying to be honest.

It's a recurring plot device but I don't think it disproves that Anakin is growing stronger. In the Mon Cal arc he was captured with dozens of others, including a Jedi council member (Kit Fisto). In the same arc we saw him topple an entire sensor array by himself. And finally, in this most recent episode, they made a point of illustrating Anakin's strength by having him fend off all the magnaguards with the Force and showing Dooku catch his breath when the duel was over.

I concur. :plokoon:

He really started to show his power back in the Mortis Trilogy. As he fought Brother and Sister(which was part of the whole point). I do agree that he(and others) get caught a bit too much, but that's just a commonly used plot device.

Well, this week's episode was...interesting.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Did anybody else immediately think of the Great Fairy wells from the Zelda games near the end of the underground scenes?

*raises hand* Then again, everything reminds me of Zelda. I'm kind of obsessed like that.

An enjoyable but bizarre episode. The Aleena are too cute. :)

Lol, Era. I thought the Aleena were just plain weird.

Agreed. My only complaint is it felt a little rushed at the end. My dad said: "This must be a two parter, there's no time left." Yes, it is two parts, but the bizarre underworld felt neglected. I couldn't be happier to see Wolffe and The Wolfpack, for obvious reasons. :P

Wait...can't you just go to the american starwars website and watch it there? It'll all be in English, but you seem pretty fluent. :D

Interpreting a foreign language by reading text is one thing. Listening to it and trying to make out what's being said is something completely different.

Thought 1: Maul was definitely one of the coolest Sith ever, and if he shows up again, it could be awesome, or major fail...

Thought 2: I like it when characters stay dead when they are killed. you know Obiwan, Anakin, Yoda, Mace, Plo, Kit, Padme, Commander Cody etc. wont die in TCW, so there's no danger of death. What's annoying is characters who respawn. *SPOILER (possibly)
Hidden/Spoiler:
In another TV show, Stargate SG-1, the 4 main characters are all killed at least once, a couple of them many times, but they always come back, so you can't take the possibility of death seriously, most of the time. Villains like Murdoch in MacGyver work well, he's always presumed dead, but there's never evidence. Maul got sliced in half (while Qui Gon was only stabbed), we see his body fall down a reactor shaft. I think that's more than enough to call him dead.
As much as I'd like to see him in TCW form, there better be a [diet dr pepper] good explanation for his survival or I will not enjoy it as much as I'd like to. If it's pulled off well, I might even allow Maul into my mod, but for now there is no way I will. I hope the animators mimic his movements in TPM, he had a really unique saber style, whether he had 1 or 2 blades out.

This may be the first thing they have done I won't be able to swallow happily. Even my dad isn't crazy about this either. So we'll just have to see...

Side note: I don't take Star Wars so seriously that it's impossible for me to believe stuff like this could happen. If I can be fine with Boba Fett(a character I don't like) coming back after being thrown into the Sarlac, I will probably be able to take this(with a grain(or pound) of salt).

No, I got : " We're sorry but this video is unavailable outside the continental U.S.". And thanks for my "fluent" english :P .
