Now, if I can't get my BFII to work, I obviously won't have feedback. As I said, my feedback is conditional.

Alright after a quick two-round playthrough, here's what I thought.
Pros:
- The few "hot spots" on the battlefield have some great gameplay, because they tend to hover around areas with lots of cover and/or turrets.
- The pond environments are beautiful, now you've just got to make the rest of the map just as stunning.
- The "Suicide Droid" is a great addition, I had fun using it.
- The turrets were nice to use as well, disregarding the turning glitch.
Cons:
- A lot of areas seem a bit open, especially the area right in front of the two starting Republic cp's. Try spicing up that place a bit more.
- I know it's meant to look like it, but the temples near the CIS cp are just waay too black. I mean, I can understand dark, but this black is overdone.
- You might want to consider some more custom weaponry but this is by no means a requirement.
- A teensy little thing --- Clone Commandos aren't the standard grunt of the Republic Army, which is what you've used them for in this map.
So all in all, not a bad start. Not a bad start at all.

It seems as if you've created a very nice map here, superm9. I like the gameplay of the map, and the republic skins are very well done. It's nice to see there's flyers, too.
The recomendations I have would be:
-Maybe localize the dwarf droid 's weapon, and relocalize the rebel transport. It's a nice addition, but it's kinda odd having a rebel transport in the clone wars. I can look up the actual name, if you want.
-Maybe change the skin of the dead 501st trooper, just an idea. I guess he may be dead from a previous attempt, in which case ignore this, but you've got all your nice custom jungle sides, then a plain 501st trooper near the droids.
-As Taivyx said, it might be a good idea to use the republic cmmandos elsewhere.
-The republic bases are kinda flat and open, maybe a bit more cover and some slight terain variation would be nice.
-The temples may be a little too black, but I understand the idea.
-maybe the textures could use a little blending
These are just some suggestions I have after playing the map a little while. All in all, this is a very nice map, and I look forward to seeing the final version.

Ok, here's my review:
-None of the vehicles have any sound except for the AT-TE.
-Boba Fett's gun has no sound.
They'll probably be more later.
Ideas/suggestions:
-Maybe you could change the skin of the Republic Commando to match the envirement and changing the gun to the proper one in the Convo Pack.
-Maybe adding IFT-Xs to with the Republic Defense since they are outnumbered by the CIS ships.
-Maybe adding a new skinned Actis 2, like changing the color to green instead of yellow.
And I thought you said that Boba Fett was going to have Jango Fett's blue armor and not his green one?
This map is really fun to play, it's original, big battlefield. But it does take a while to play since there are 100+ reinforcements. Maybe turning those down a little?

Ok, so, to respond to all those great reviews (thanks guys!), let's start with Taivyx's comments:
-I'll definitely fill in the open spaces - maybe add a forward command post or something to bring the interest up
-I'll lighten up the temples - I can see your point, they're unrealisticly black
-I'm currently working on some custom weaponry for a custom hero; he's still in the early phase, but I will tell you that he was present at the battle of Xagobah - more on him later
-As for the commandos, I was trying to make the whole republic force seem like a spec-ops devision, so the clone commandos would be the basic first-in-last-out type of soldier, but I'll consider adding them as a special class
Commander_Fett:
-I just played through it today and noticed the localization errors, and I'll fix them before the release; I can relocalize the transport to "Crashed Ship" or something of that nature
-I tried to change the skin, but it wouldn't change; I'll put more effort into fixing it this time - the 501'st is a bit overused of a skin
-I'll try variying the terrain more near the Republic starting bases
Nova Hawk:
-I thought that the only vehicles missing sounds were the dwarf spider and aircraft, but I'll look into it
-the DC-17 gave me trouble last time, but I'll try it again
-The IFT-X is WAYYY overused, and was definitely not present at the battle of Xagobah (come to think of it, neither was the UTAT, but it's just too cool to leave out

)
-As for Boba Fett, I tried to use Jango's skin, but it came out all weird and transparent, allmost nonexistent. I had fiddled with it back when I was asking about the weird imperial skins (Taivyx would remember) and how they were all see-through in Paint.net; if someone could post a .tga or .pdn image of Jango's skin, I'll see if I can incorperate it this time around
-And yes, the map is supposed to have 100 ai on each side on the battlefield at all times; it makes the game more epic! If you don't enjoy it, there is a version of Xagobah (that, in my opinion, is second-rate) that was released in the "Saga of the 607th" map packs that has much smaller reinforcement numbers
Thanks for all of the comments guys! I really enjoy the feedback. I will be revealing the custom hero (who is a 25 point unlock for the CIS) shortly before release!
Keep it coming!

So Xagobah is a real planet and not a made up one? Never heard of it...
But Superm, what about my idea about changing the Actis 2 color?

Do you still have Xamsters? And also, is the hero U-- U---? You'll know who I'm talking about if I'm right.

Yes, the Xamsters are still there. I saw them. Even though they're just like Gungans painted green.

Guess I'm a little late with my review. I'll do it in the format in which I review released maps, but I know this is a beta (and a pretty good one at that),
+
I like the Republic skins (especially the Jet Trooper and Clone Assasin, and the heroes). The Xamsters are quite interesting as well. In places, the wreckage of battle is evident. I like the dead troopers and I spotted a dimembered SBD which I've never seen before. The swing of the vibrosword has a purple arc which was cool, and there was a couple other weapons-related things that I liked too. The Jet Trooper's EMP Launcher has a lot more ammo and seems a little more powerful, but it could be my imagination. And that suicide bomb is completely amazingingly powerful (but I didn't see any AI using it). Also, I like how the SBD is an unlockable and powerful unit, which is much more realistic to the Star Wars Universe than the standard SWBF2 SBDs. The vehicle combat was good and well balanced. LAAT/is and droid fighters fought above the battlefield, and the UT-ATs, AT-TEs, Hailfires, and Spider walkers were very active and complemented and balanced out each other very well. The terrain is nice, with plenty of foliage and watery environments. Elevaton is well-mixed. The combat itself was intense in some areas, especially near CP 0. Also, as far as I can tell the Battle for the Xagobah citadel was bloody, and this map captures the feeling of an intense, sci-fi realistic slaughterfest. It just has that kind of atmosphere, and I haven't played too many maps like that. All this having been said, there are a few cons, although relatively insignificant (hope I spelled that right

).
-
The first thing I noticed was that the Clone Commando was the basic trooper unit, and they were numerous and fairly weak in this map. Taivyx already brought this up though. Also, I think you should add in a startup screen, because it makes the map seem more polished, to me at least. Also, as I was charging the citadel in the 3rd person, I zoomed in near the buildings, and saw right through them. This is a common glitch in many of the maps I've played. also, I like how the buildings are black, but there are parts that aren't black, which looks out of place. The Yavin walls are also standard color, which looks off next to the big black buildings. Like the others said, parts of the map were kinda flat and bare. You might want to spice it up a little with rocks, crates, explosive items, etc. The only other appearnece thing I noticed in the map was the Geonosis skydome, which also looks out of place. I suggest using a more jungly looking skydome, like Felucia or something. There was decent variation in the units on the republic side, but there ween't many choices outside the standard set for the CIS, although the unlockable SBD was good. Also, the max unit count for droidekas was 20, and there usually about 8-12 on the field at a time, which seemed overwhelming. The combat wasn't very spread out. Most of it occured near CP 0. Occasionally, one faction would attack another's CP and take it outside the area of heaviest fighting. There were a few fair-sized firefights near the main citadel.
Overall, this was a fun map with intense combat in pretty much 1 place, and fair combat in a few other parts. A very good beta map, which can be improved in a few little ways. Beta score 8.5/10. :clone:
If you want any more specific suggestions, comments, etc. you can just ask.

Ok, well, first off, no, the new hero is not Ulu Ulix (nice guess though, I would have never thought of him!

).
Secondly, what is the "Actis 2" color? Sorry if I'm being stupid...
As for Jediguy's comments, thanks for the review! I'll correct the points you mentioned.
Yes, I know that the repainted gungans are a little sloppy, but I can't really remodel objects very well (especially w/o software

)
Ok, well, if you guys really want to figure out who the new hero is, here's another hint: I'm reskinning the Snowtrooper for him, as its model is the closest to my aims. And, he is CIS.
If you still can't guess, read the book
Keep up the great beta testing!

The Actis 2 is the Jedi Starfighter and it's yellow.

Nova Hawk:
Isn't the starfighter supposed to be yellow? Anakin is present, and his starfighter is yellow...
As for Ping, you... might... have guessed it, but I still need to work on the skin... alot...

At Nova:
A few more things I noticed:
-I'm not sure if this is fixable, but while you can use the invisability on the neyo looking guy, your weapon isn't invisible.
-Maybe you could reduce the power and/ or duration of the droid gunship's lasers. I got in a full health AT-TE, and in five seconds a droid gunship destroyed me.
-Not sure if you knew this or not, but Boba's blaster and missle are missing there sounds.
-Maybe spread the fight fight out away to the other cps, it's kinda concentrated at cp0.
I'll keep you updated. Look forward to seeing the new hero.

Ok, I also noticed that Boba Fett's jetpack has no flare. I tried it with the Clone jet trooper and he has it, but not Boba. One more thing, I noticed on the back of the jet trooper that there is still a blue line across his back, is that supposed to be there?
BTW, love your map!! One of my top 5 favorites.
