Transparency not working

I followed how to make certain faces invisible with editflags and transparent texture but in game it shows up black...mshex exports editflags transparency right?

No. To make it transparent with mshex, you hafta hexedit transparency to it.

Then howcome its still black ingame?

EDIT: I think I have my problem how do I make an invisible texture? When I went back and looked at my texture it had turned black when I saved it

Use\create Alpha Channels. Use Gimp or Photoshop ;)

For a tga to save the alpha channel, it has to be saved as a 32 bit.

So I saved a 32 bit transparent image and now it shows up as gray instead of black. Whats wrong?
