Problem not completely solved. The skins for the AA and the Sniper are there but I've yet to find the one with the blaster piece. I'll keep looking though.

As for applying it, I suck. Seeing all those pieces lying there its hard to tell what goes where. Also I pity the guy that has to reapply the skin for export. Unless of course I get a trial version working soon.

I'll update later tonight or tomorrow on progress.

Sorry guys, I was gonna post an update here soon., after I had completly finished everything. Real life has kept me from doing alot of work on it, plus I had a few other mod stuff to complete for someone else too. Hopefully i'll be able to finish out the AA tonight and post everything up.

I sent a PM to Qdin about skinning and exporting but havent heard from him about it. So as for who is going to skin and export it I dont know.

Oh, no problem. But I must say: LOOKING GREAT!

I have never seen such an accurate and beautiful model of the DC-17m ICWS Sniper Attachment! Whoa!

For skinning, contact Schizo. I can ask him right now if he'd be cool with it. He could maybe try using the SWRC textures as well, and t551 offered above to UV map it.

a word of advice, those two circles at the top of the sniper rifle, make sure those circles have no volume, as in make them 2D as that was how it was in RC. in other words, make them thin as a line

Here is the DC-17m Anti-Armor. The entire set is pretty much done except for a few smal tweaks here and there that I'll do tomorrow. After that they will be ready to texture and export.

looking nice, but some of the details are to small to be noticed ingame unless you do the best texturing+bumping ever

Well, if schizo does the texturing.........

I've never played RC, but from the trailers and online vids these models are so accurate I almost can't believe it.

VF' I haven't recieved any PM about that.. you're sure you've pressed the 'send' button..? xD

I'm honestly not impressed by the AA... You seriously gotta work with it... it looks less detailed than mine! :o

and btw, Penguin - the bumps are the reason that I tried to get the NormalsMap working in SWBF2... but unfortunately it don't work... and if I hear just one peep from mini about "they aren't supported" it'd be the last he's gonna see of that post :P Been doing my research.. still wishes it to happen :D xD

Ok sorry its not done yet. I recently came down with Strep Throat- uggh- and the accompanying headaches make it hard to focus. I'll do my damnedest though to get it out tomorrow.

The AA has the least detail because I am going for accuracy, but I plan on doing 4 things to it that will imrpove it by a vast margin. Some stuff on the sniper and blaster will get fixed.

@Qdin:The PM was the first one I sent you asking on wether or not you wanted the RC skins as references.

Sorry for the double post.

The models are done. I compressed'em and they'll be on their way to t551 when hes on xfire again.

UV Mapper- t551
Skiner- Schizo

No new pics because I want the next ones to be of them textured and/or ingame.

P.S.: These are the most complicated models I've done so if you guys see some very minimal, slightly off by the smallest amount verts give me a break. I haven't done this that much.

Sorry for the major bump, but it is my topic and I have a psuedo-update of sorts.

Got the full version of XSI (yay me :D), so since there haven't been updates in awhile, I'll skin it myself (lots of recent research and practice in XSI). I'll get as much done by the end of this week as possible (just started a new job and the new semester starts soon for College).
