Kinda like the Wii's duel mode, right? With the unit power-up on so that your units will fire at the enemy when your fighting?

No no no, you are thinking too creatively. I do not aim to be creative (wait what?).
But seriously, all I'm talking about is adding one extra hero assault mode where there are no force powers and where there are fewer AI, to make it easier to do the force-less battles that some seem to relish. Nothing more.

I believe what you mean is, you don't aim to be creative, you just point and shoot.

Oh, well met. You're right, I do not aim, but sometimes I lock on and then I do not have to aim.

But what if you miss?
Bah, it's been so long since you missed (if ever) that I don't really care.

So this is the first version of battlefront unleashed? then the next version will have maps? correct me if im wrong thats the view i got.
with starkillers saber, in the game we see him holding his saber normally (forward) but in screen shots of the game we see him with his saber back wards so.....give starkiller 2 sabers (one saber but 2 differnet modes so forward or backwards...you switch between them but scrolling (change wep)) :maulsaber:
just an idea. with the wavemode wth that rocks......

You're wrong, I don't know how you got that view especially since I made a nice long post last page describing exactly
why this project has no new maps.

I don't think Mav' will make any maps for BFU in the future. This is just an experiment for him, to test a few ideas and see how they work in-game.

No one's having a "go" at you, we're "only saying" that there aren't any new maps - that's not the purpose of this project, as mentioned a page ago.
Just to requote:
Maveritchell wrote:Thanks for the input, and while I'm more than happy to answer questions, like I said earlier, I'm not really taking suggestions. I have a plan, it is a good one, and it includes most things people would suggest.
Suggestions are fun and all, but I really don't want them. I have a plan - it's what I want to do and will remain as such. All suggestions really do are take up space and deviate from the topic, because if something is going to be in, you'll see it, if it's not going to be in, your suggestion will not change that.

I don't have time to read to see if anyone has asked this, and I don't remember reading anyone do so, but Mav, since this'll be a new era, are you gonna unleash the LUA stuff to get this era in custom maps, like you did with KotOR?

Yes, I'll make it available, although it will be substantially more work to set up new luas to work with this than with the KotOR era.

I played both the PS2 and XBox360 versions of the game (PS2 is a slightly downgraded Wii version, minus the duel arenas). They sort-of mixed things up in the PS2/Wii version - the Jump Trooper was amalgamated with the Incinerator Trooper, and the Senate Guard replaced with the Temple Guard... So, by your saying that this is based on the Wii version, I might assume the Jump Trooper is armed with a flamethrower?

So yes, he sort've is. I'm taking creative liberties wherever it's necessary to balance gameplay, though (e.g. the Shadow Guard isn't armed with a blaster in addition to his force powers, that blaster's been given to the Shadowtroopers).

Well, this mod would certainly be incentive to buy BF2... if I could find it anywhere here. Even LucasArts themselves is all sold out.

Woah, you mean there's no new BF2 copies out there?
And Mav, might I ask, how do these "Burn Jets" function, gameplay-wise? Does the player right-click, or does he double-press the jump button like with a normal jetpack?

It's a secondary weapon. It comes
from the jetpack but is not the same as the jetpack. You can use the jetpack without using the burn jets, and you can use the burn jets without using the jetpack (although it is substantially less useful trying to use them on the ground).
