(Excuse me if this is in the wrong place)

I am trying to use this tutorial to help me export sketchup models into BF2

http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 36&t=18215

I have gotton to the part where you zip the .kmz file and then extract it. The only problem is that I dont get the files back when I extract it. I think it might be because I have WinRAR. So what I did is this.

1. right clicked on .kmz file and click "send to" and then "Compressed "zipped" folder."
2. It then comes up with this...

Code: Select all

For Compressed (zipped) Folders to handle ZIP files correctly, the application associated with them must be Compressed (zipped) Folders. Currently this is not the case.

Do you want to designate Compressed (zipped) Folders as the application for handling ZIP files?
And a Yes and No option

3. I clicked yes and it created a WinRAR folder with the kmz file inside it.
4. I then right click on the archive WinRAR file and clicked "Extract Here."
5. Then it comes up with this file (kmz file) already exicts. Would you like to replace this file... with this one...
6. I clicked "yes" but everything seemed to stay the same.

I didnt find any folders specified in the tutorial (7.0).
Any idea whats wrong?

You don't need to zip the file, just rename the extension of the file from .fmz to .zip, then you winZip or what ever to extract it as if it was a normal zip file. So if your file was called "box.kmz" you would right click on it, go to rename, and change it to "box.zip". When it asks you "Are you sure you want to blah blah", click on yes. Then extract, and voila, you have the folders.
