ZE in fullscreen? & Is an object crashing ZE? [Solved]

I'm back with a new computer, the infamous Vista 64, and BF2 (off steam). And like before, i have problems with zeroeditor. So here we go:
1.I seem to remember that Zeroeditor used to go full screen, but now it doesn't and it looks like its messed up the res, and everything is kinda blurry.
2.A lot of times when i try to place an object ZE crashes (Zeroeditor has stopped working). It very well could be user error, though, im not sure. In any case, it's kinda hard to make a map when it crashes every other object.
Any help would be appreciated. Keep in mind that I have never modded before (except for failed attempts at bf1).

What video card are you using?
I was recently playing around with video settings on my nvidia card and found it I took some of the settings out of "let the program decide" mode I ended up an ugly looking ZE screen also. Put the settings back and it corrected itself

ATI Radeon HD 4350
I don't see a setting similar to that

Just an off-shoot here, but are you running ZE in compatibility mode?

ZE doesn't go full screen on my computer either. It also crashes sometimes, when I load certain objects. I have Vista too

.

ok this part isnt helpful but mine is a smaller screen too, and with some objects, it crashes.
but (this is useful here!) if the object DOESNT make collision geometry when you select the object, DONT ATTEMPT TO PLACE IT! this will cause zeroeditor to stop working (ex: com_holo_health)

1) For your blured screen problem, I'd check that your screen resolution is set right in the control panel.
2) The answer to your second question is what SAMofBIA just said. It usualy happens when you have the ODF and textures but forget the msh, I think.
Using ZE in this "smaller" screen which I also get dosen't change anything with your map so don't worry about it. I'm happy just as long as it works.

same here, after reading what happens to some people's ZeroEditors i am just glad that mine works.

@SAMofBIA: Thanks, that was one of the objects it crashed on, so i guess its user error.
@SW_elite Since it works fine w/ everything else i don't think i'll be able to fix the res problem in the control panel. I think it's because the smaller size is causing it to distort, i don't think changing my cp res will help that.
thanks guys

If you want to increase the window size of ZE, open config.ini (in the data folder, if you want it to be that way for all newly created maps, or in the individual map folders) and change the WindowWidth, and WindowHeight lines to get a higher resolution. In fact, you could set StartWindowed to 0.

Thanks! If i set maximize window to 1, it will be even blurrier, but i can get around that by just setting the size to my desktop res. Its still kinda blurry, but at least it's bigger.
I've gotten through the Getting Started tutorial and added a few objects, so I think it might actually work for me this time. Filefront will probably be seeing some of my (crappy?) maps soon.

sam, the original poster doesn't
have to put solved in the title, the mods usually do it

If it's fullscreen and blurry, you need to increase the resolution. It's the same concept as your desktop or game settings. The fact that it's in an ini file doesn't change anything.

Set to 1600x900, it's still blurry (and laggy.) Ill just stick with a window.
