Less crashes then last time (1.7a) but occasionally seeing people drop off the map. I was flying a gunship into the CIS capital ship and the game crashed to desktop and I was the only player on the server at the time. Wish I knew what causes the occasional multiplayer crash.

It might be memory related. For those with the CD version of the game, run BF2_modtools.exe. Start Ep2Geonosis in Instant Action, then hit ~ and type mem. Play the game. Watch to see if memory runs low.

Theory confirmed. I'm not sure if it's causing any one particular crash, but there at least five important memory pools that were far below what they needed to be, probably cuasing memory problems leading to a crash.

I dont see any particular pool size lacking...just shows a negative value in "pool size". The multiplayer crashes I cant simulate here at home..it refuses to crash...so diagnosing is difficult.

Teancum..can you see what pools need upped?

I run the dvd version of the game, so does everyone playing on my server. Not sure if that helps.

Hey Stager00, I just found a bug on 1.7. If you destroy a CIS transport then the game crashes to desktop with no error message or anything. Also, Grievous (and other things besides) are called NULL, although no doubt you know about that already :P.

Awesome map though, most definitely one of my favourites!

good note from Wadi: I like the way the units are no longer 'clumped together' so much. You can tick that one off on your checklist. I also love the fact that Yoda and Windu are available. It's amazingly fun to properly kill Jango as Mace Windu on Geonosis!

I think the only thing left is flyer sounds, and possibly 'tidy-up' the Acklay area...it seems like a bit of melee at the moment, altohugh that's only a tiny point and if you just leave it as it is, it'll be fine by me.

I do believe this is as close to the actual battle as we're going to get, but there's three things I think it needs:
1: Fog
2: The Spire
3: Change the appearance of the Clone commander to that of a yellow-accented Phase I trooper.

Thanks all.

Rends just posted a fool-proof procedure for inserting the missing ship sounds into the modtools in the mod section. So Ill finally be able to get the ships sounds on. The Spire may be inserted in just before the final. I was thinking about that.

I found something, in the republic hangar in the left corner of the flight entrance there is a death zone why? Btw nice avatar [Matt_Man].

The deathzone in the very corner of the ships by the sheilds are because the AI dont understand they are not on the ground(multi-layered not supported)..and some of them instead of getting into ships and flying away go huddle in the corner an stay there. I had to recycle them back to the battle..so when they huddle there...they get recycled.
