It's important because some 3d apps will allow you create
invalid geometry all day, then folks bring that into XSI to export and it doesn't turn out well ingame.
Next time please provide as much information as possible
(including screenshots) about the problem in the first post to keep us from having to fish it out of you.

I am not sure that ALL programs and games can have same problem with models, just zero game engine show models wrong. For me personally battlefront is not best for modding.
Thank you all a lot. FragMe! is right. But I think I will keep this problem before second version of my mod, because I have really too many models to edit(I have 6 for now).

I will, just had not much time to write, I had to finish my school project. Now its finished and I will resume modding.
P.S. My map is large, and i still have to finish with sides(animation, models, skins) and sounds, so it will be done before end of October(31st, I hope you understand why). Its on Dathomir. And another one will be released on anniversary of closure of SWG, December 15th, I will possibly make more maps and mods before end of this year.

This isn't about "ALL programs" and forget about how other games handle the models, you're working with Zero now. Most or all of the stock assets were made in XSI which also has rules regarding what geometry is acceptable during creation unlike some other 3d apps that revolve around CAD like toolsets. Zero displays models in exactly the way it was programmed to. If something doesn't look right ingame then it is due to user error, adjust your workflow accordingly.

Nope... when I said "ALL programs" I really mean ALL of them(3d Studio max, XSI, Google SketchUp,, Zanoza Modeler, Blender, 3d Object Converter... I can tell more), so this is Zero engine... just dont accept some models, so I need to remake them.
you're working with Zero now
I am working with it more than 1 year
were made in XSI
Have You read other user posts (including some of mine)? I said that some models are imported from other games, some are COMPLETLEY done by me, some are downloaded from internet.
Zero displays models in exactly the way it was programmed to.
This is wrong. I dont think that all games are incorrect and zero engine is ideal. Zero have limits, for example polygon count in models and count of connected model nodes (my problem is solved).
And another small question: Where is game's log file???

I cant find it anywhere.

You mean BFront2.log? You have to move BF2_modtools.exe to your Gamedata folder then run the exe. The log should show up in your Gamedata folder.

So you've put the model in every single model viewer out there? Even if that is true, which I doubt, it's irrelevant.

Of course he has.

No, it is not wrong. You don't come to a forum asking for help only to tell highly experienced people they are wrong. Zero displays models exactly the way it was programmed to. Whether it was programmed perfectly or not is a different matter. Of course it has limits, Ace didn't say it didn't. Ace
knows what he's talking about. Zero performs as it's designers wanted it to.

BFront2.txt will be located in
C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData on some computers if you have Vista or Windows 7. The log will be located in
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData under normal circumstances.

There is no.
No, it is not wrong.
Maybe, but model looks perfect in other games and programs. It cant be not wrong.

Look in the Everything You Need Thread for "DVD version debugger"; 'd link you, but I'm browsing on my phone right now and that would be...difficult.

Star Wars Battlefront II isn't other games and programs; it uses a completely different engine, thus rendering models in a completely different way and under a completely different format; and SWBF2 isn't exactly the newest game out there, either.

Have You read my other posts? I understand this. That I am new on gametoast not means that I am new to modding.

Thanks. Why do I always forget about Everything You Need Thread?
P.S. I write from phone too.

There seems to be some kind of language barrier here resulting in miscommunication preventing accurate conversation with you, there's no need for us to explain a previous reply in every subsequent one. As you gain experience you will learn about these things on your own anyway.
The subject of this thread is solved so i'll just go ahead and close it to avoid further misunderstanding.
