I played it a good bit, though League of Legends eventually beat it out. I did get to like level 17 as a Hobbit hunter on one of the servers; dont remember which one. I'd recognize it if you named it though, so if you give me your tag and server, if its the same one we may have to play sometime.
I play on the Arkenstone server on the US Client. My main character is Farithor, a Lore-Master and he's currently level 55. Yeah, if your on the same server that would be sweet, I'm in Moria right now and its pretty cool, it's huge and there's so much to do. LotRO is so much fun when you get leveled up, get Legendary items, and join raids. Even if your hobbit isn't on that server, you can start a new one and I would help you level up. It's really a fun game once you get up there.
Aw man, mine is in Windfola. Btw, do you pay for it, or are you so far all free?
I may just start a new one on that server though; might start him up now for a little bit. I'll give you details when I do.
EDIT: Kremlor, lvl 1 Dwarf Guardian. I'll add you once I get past the opening storyline.

My brother had a Shadows of Angmar key, so I used that for the first month and then I bought Mines of Moria at Wal-Mart for $10 so that gave me another 30 days of VIP which I'm still using. When my VIP expires I'll go back down to Premium which still isn't too bad. I have over 1000 Turbine Points so I'll gradually buy the quest packs with those. You can probably pick up MoM really cheap, and it unlocks MoM, the Warden and Rune Keeper, gives you 500 TP, and 30 days access to all content and areas. And if you do, your account will go back down to Premium when your VIP expires. But you have to buy a retail copy if you want the TP and VIP because the digital edition doesn't include that. And btw, I don't know if you're aware of all the LotRO changes they've done with F2P, Premium, and VIP but you can take a look at the differences here.
But that's awesome. Guardians are good, they do a lot of damage. Guardians, Wardens, and Captains are always the leaders of fellowships in instances and raids. I'll add you the next time I get on. I haven't been able play as much lately and in a week in a half I'll be in Florida for Spring Break. But anyway, if you need help let me know. I have two brothers who play too, Raomere and Raothor are one of my brothers two mains and both are like 65, and Estor is my other brothers main, he's like level 52 or something. You can ask them too, just tell them that you know me. We're all in a really good kinship too, I'll ask my bro to invite you since he's a recruiter. Don't join any of the kins random people invite, they just invite random people to try to boost their numbers. So yeah, I'll see ya in game!

Yeah, I know all the differences; I started playing after it went F2P. I'll probably pick up MoM if I'm still playing at the point I get there, provided I have the money, as I'm still dirt broke. Getting the Warden is a big draw though, as they look awesome.
I think I've also convinced 2 friends to start playing. They're not the type for MMOs, but they do love LotR, so they're giving it a shot once they get it working. If they end up liking it, can I ask your brother to invite them too? I'll give you their info once I have it.

I know how it is, with not having money and all. Luckily, I got a job a few months ago so its great having some money to spend every now and then. Wardens are pretty good, actually both are - Rune Keeper and Warden. My brother Estor is a Warden and he likes the class. There's a skill where you can sneak up and throw a spear at the enemy and stun them. Raothor is a Rune Keeper and his is pretty sweet too, not carrying any weapons and just using lighting and fire and whatever else they can do.
I've created one of each and a Hunter but I'm gonna get Farithor to level 65 before I start with them. I wanted to play as one of the new classes but I was on SoA when I started so I just decided to go with a Lore-Master. They're cool too, but really advanced with dozens of skills.
And sure, send me their info and I'll get him to invite them. I'm not a really big MMO player either, LotRO and WoW are really the only MMO's I enjoy playing and I've tried dozens. But since I'm a huge LotR fan and LotRO just has that smooth look and gameplay to it, that made it all the better. SWG was somewhat okay, but it just wasn't that great and the combat and view kinda sucked.
If you do end up getting MoM, use your TP for the Siege of Mirkwood expansion. You'll build up more from deeds and Mirkwood is really sweet once your leveled up.
Oh, and I keep forgetting. There's a new referral program for LotRO where you get free TP when referring people and when they end up buying TP, you get a percentage. You have them sign up using your referral link like - http://my.lotro.com/referral/Delta816 and then put your Turbine account username at the end of the url. Or you can just find yours at http://my.lotro.com/referral. Worth a shot if you need TP and you have friends to invite.
EDIT: One more thing. You'll have to be online in order for someone to invite you to the kinship, so the next time you see me on, send/tell and I'll get someone to invite you.

Umm; in the off chance Delta 47 sees this, I've been leveling up my Guardian on LotRO, he's level 16 right now and on Book 1 Chapter 5 or 6 of the epic quest. Still waiting on that kinship invite. (Although, do remind me of the name again so I don't decline like I've done to several.)
EDIT: I've leveled him up to level 19, and I just played my first fellowship instance yesterday, in the Great Barrow. We failed. Miserably. But, it was just so much fun, all focusing on one guy, and getting that first fellowship maneuver was amazing.

--Red Ace squadron (awesomest flight sim ever made)
--American Conquest: Divided nation ( rts to the extreme awesome, no community building, no population limits, just raw strategy and massive 19th century combat )
--SWBF2 ( need I say more? )
--Pacific Storm ( another really good flight sim. More complicated but far more realistic )

I concur :plokoon:
Why would anyone ever need new games when you own SWBF2 is beyond me.

Eh, I got both Halo: Reach & Black Ops. No offense, but I find them a lot more fun than BF2. Its mainly that BF2 is an old game since the release of it back in '05, there have been a lot more fun & awesome games. I still play BF2 every now and then but I've moved on from that game. I will still play it if there are some really awesome maps/mods coming (like your Clone Wars era mod) but other than that I don't really touch it.

Conduit 2 and Little King's Story are running about on my Wii right now. C2 is very fun, and most of the weapons really freshen things up. Too bad my online connection seems to be very poor with that game... So far in LKS, I have yet to succumb giving in to my inner tyrant, but I seem to be moving at a snail's pace, but that may be due to my over cautiousness...

MW4 (no not the new modern warfare that stole its name, i am talking of MechWarrior4)
MW4: black knight (mechwarrior rocks
MW4: mercenaries (the game rocks and then getting the mod is like adding infinity to infinity)
star wars battlefront 2 would be a favorite
Dawn of war: Dark Crusade (this is my favorite of the series but the others are good too)
hmm what else...
Age of Mythology: titans expansion
there are more but these are my main favorites.

Just started playing Portal. It's pretty cool so far. ( my steam is Grev2810 )
I'm having trouble with Battlefield Heroes and Play4Free unfortunately, so I'm relatively shooterless.
