How do I set up a vehicle in XSI so that it would have multiple seats, and a turret that could rotate (kind of like the at-te)?

well to add more seats in a vehicle, you do that with the odf script, you could take the one of LAAT's turrents, copy and paste it into , lets say the tx-130 fighter tank

no its more than that, you have to set up 2 bones, 1 is a yaw bone and the other is a pitch bone, the pitch bone is child to the yaw bone and the turret is rigged to teh pitch bone unless it has a base that rotates where the base would be rigged to the yaw bone and the guns would be to the pitch bone.

ok, but If you just wanted to create a turrent that shoots stuff, but you dont physically see the turrent move, you just mess around with the odf.

Nope.... you still gotta have a hardpoint at the end of the barrel. It requires model work.

Okay, so I use bones, not nulls, correct? What do they have to be named, and do they need to be in any specific orientation to eachother? Also, when I rig them, do you mean that I would weight the yaw bone to the base, or just make it a child of the bone. Are the turret pieces separate polymeshes?
Sorry for the many questions, but I really don't know how to go about this. Thanks for the quick replies.

L5R made a tutorial.
there you can see how to set up the nulls in the model and in the odf.
but, what i can say, is, i have to test and change a few things, before the turrets for the juggernaut worked correct.

Does that tutorial work for turrets as a seat of vehicles?

if you want only a seat, you have to place a NULL in XSI and add it to the odf

No, what I'm trying to do is a situation like the at-te, where there is one seat that drives and shoots, and another that doesn't drive, but controls a turret mounted on the vehicle. The tutorial you linked me to was a tutorial for a stand-alone turret, not one that is mounted on a vehicle.

there is no different, its the same way.
the only different is, that you have to add this to your vehicle odf.
