Flyer skeleton

Post by DarthD.U.C.K. »

Is it possible to give flyers skeletons?
I started rigging the basilisk with a chain skeleton, but is it possible to give vehicles bones (with root and eff), not only nulls?

Yes

2D chains and nulls would be your best options, you would rarely ever need to use 3D chains, they're used more for example a dog's tail wagging, I would also avoid using geometry as bones if at all possible.

I think flyers only support takeoff and 9pose animations though.

Yes, for an example have a look at:
\BF2_ModTools\assets\sides\all\odf\all_fly_snowspeeder.odf
it is defined as:
FinAnimation = "all_snowspeeder_9pose"
