Could someone make the Tatooine stairs from the assets (tat2_bldg_stair1) have surfaces on both sides? (like mirror it from the middle of the model, it can use the same textures as the original)
Right now it can only be used with it its left side to a building.
I know it's not as simple as it sounds, but help on this would be greatly appreciated.

im not shure if the collision i made works properly though

Is there a step by step tutorial on how to change the skins of stock sides on one or a few of stock maps? I can find ones on how to make and use them on personally created maps, but I would really like to do something like "Ka-Ching" did with the shocktrooper mod that was recently released, except, you know, actually put some effort into it by making my own skins instead of using someone else's work.

If there isnt a tutorial, could someone whip one up?

I found a nice model, .3ds format for 3D Studio 3.00. I woudl really appreciate it if someone could convert it into an XSI-friendly format such as .obj or .xsi, so that I could play around with it.

Code: Select all

1. copy the "rep" folder from assets\sides\ to your custom worlds sidefolder (data_XXX\sides)
2. edit all textures you want
3. munge your map with "rep" in the sidesdropdownmnu selected
4. copy the rep.lvl from the data_XXX\_LVL_PC\SIDE folder
5. paste it in battelfronts GameData\data\lvl_pc\side (but make a copy of the original rep.lvl)
6. now your skinchanges are applied in all custommaps
