Changing Map Name

Post by trainmaster611 »

This is simple: How do I change the map name without starting over?

You have to know how to localize, which I won't get into here.
I'll assume you know how to.

- Open up MultiLanguageTool.exe.

- Go mapname -> name. You'll see your map's three-letter abbreviation, click it.

- In the ungreyed text box, change the name to whatever you want to change it to.

- NOTE!: Make sure to do it for all languages- change the selected language from the drop-down bar.

That's it! The map's name will have changed in the map list.

Okay, copy the 'MultiLanguageTool.exe' from 'ToolsFL -> bin' to your 'Data_ModID -> Common -> Localize'; that's where you have to run it from.

Alternatively, you could simply use the editlocalize.bat in your Data_ABC folder...

Well, that would be because I'm stupid and you have to download it from somewhere (I think- don't remember).
Listen to Schizo and Elmo.

My avatar is supposed to be the battle over Coruscant, but it's kinda weird.
