Hm, even though it's not LOTR, I'd say that this sword might look nice with a Uruk-Hai:

[EDIT]
Or this could be a soldier's sword. Or even an Uruk sword:

Guys, there is a site called "turbosquid" most of the models have to be bought, but some are free, I found some I liked. I'll download and PM you pics. Honestly, those aren't my favorites.

If I had to vote for one sword, it would be the second. The first one doesn't look right at all.

BtW I really like that Uruk Sword. *puts turboquid on faves for later*
And to those who havent heard before, we arent going for realism in the slightest so if you're here to whine about how its not in the movie feel free but i dont care.
In short, REALISM SUX, movie makers didnt shoot their movies in the context of what would make a fun video game so why would we want to make our video games worrying about every little piece of trivia that was in the movie?
Heck if i really wanted to I could throw a kid's playground, a lambourghini and a fake Santa into the mix. Nobody on this map is really worried about the specific details of the movie (as those who have seen some of the secrets can attest to). Yes we will try to make this like Helm's Deep but I wont lose any sleep if I end up switching Gandolf with Darth vader
Anyways back to the real reason I came to post.
What should I put into the Interior of the citadel?
I need ideas, good ones and if you can make a sketch of your idea that i can refer to, theres about a 1000% chance ill really consider it. So if youve got a good idea, sketch it out, even if I do end up picking an idea w/out a sketch its alomost guaranteed that it wont come out the way you wanted it to cuz we both will make different mental pictures in our minds of what we want. Plus sketches are about 1000X easier to understand.
Heres some more recent pics of the Citadel to give you an Idea of what im talking about and the scale of the room, Enjoi
That block there is to giveyou a sense of scale,
higlighted block in the pic below=one soldier exactly
These three here are just overview pics that I happened to like

looks awsome! nice modeling job! one question/request though, can you tell me the height of a player? lol, it will help me alot

Wow. That's big. And awesome.
I have a "realistic" (

) room that I got from Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (Amazing RPG).
You could have an armoury somewhere in the lower parts, and it's basically an extra room. (Maybe a spawn point) Hm, what if you could recharge your ammo there? (only for bows/arrows)
If you weren't already going to do this, inside the place with the large columns, put a throne room type thing.

Np, 2 units in XSIland = one BF2 dude (according to Qdin, better be right cuz if its not then this whole map is down the tubes

)
And yea it is a throne room

As for the armory idea im not gonna do that, ive already got enough stuff to do plus that would easily take as much time as the throne room which is just not worth it. Maybe ill reconsider once it nears completeion but for now thats a definate no.

well im not here to flame, but given now that i know you guys arent going for realism im gna stop puttin any further input into this map....i marvel you guys for making this map, yet i despise the fact that you are bending JRR Tolkiens work just because you cant make the models yourself, and cant ask for that mode of support....for all the work you are doing, you might aswell make a sesame street map and just leave the star wars characters in it (ironically out of place dont you think)

Aussie, most modders would definitely like to create a map that is a pristine reproduction of the sources they are working from, but, often, doing so would take an unacceptable amount of time, and a probably unattainable level of technical skill. For most people, modding must take the back burner due to other commitments, such as school, or their job. Complete accuracy is almost never an option.

Dude its not the Bible, its just Lord of the Rings. JRR Tolken wasnt God and the fact that we dont want to follow his novel to the letter doesnt mean we're direspectful, or lazy for that matter. Please understand that this is a map
inspired by Helm's Deep and were doing the best we can to make a good map, a fun map, based on a fictitious place and placed into a notoriusly limited and picky engine: it couldnt be completely accurate even if we
wanted it to be and for all your "input" I have yet to see you pick up ZE or XSI for this map and
do something about it. I dont mind idea men, and I dont even mind your critizicism, but what does anger me is the fact that you imply that I am 1) too lazy or inept to make the models myself and 2) too proud to ask for help, when you havent even picked up XSI and worked through a model yourself. If you wanna criticize others make sure you have
some idea what you are talking about, ZE and XSI are two completely different things. It takes alot of work to make a good model and about ten times as much patience to get it into the game. If you want to make your own accurate HD map go ahead and amaze us with your amazing modding skills by doing the impossible and the stupid trying to make the map completely accurate.
Bien Suerte y Adios.

Let's get back to topic: I think you should put some rocks on the roof of that column hall, to represent that this fortress is almost part of the a mountain, as to interiors: There should be an armory: Its a round room with severel correspondents of the ammo droids, and and the way to the entrance is a bit bent, like a parabola, and the ententrance itself is a bit higher than the ground level in the armory. In this room, there are lots of armor and arrow props.
Another room is the "hospital" of helms deep : A room with several reskinned rebel sniper models that have got health droid properties and some kind of cloth in their hands. This room could be placed on the left side (from the attackers point of view), so people on the wall can also reach it. This room is a square with several entrances, and some primitive beds/benches for the wounded.

What's your problem? Go make one yourself. Okay, I may not know how to do all of this myself, but I have a pretty good idea of how hard it is. If the way you do it is SO perfect, go make your own. It'll take a LONG time. And some of it won't even be possible to do. WE have lives. WE have other things to do.
*Ahem*
I totally agree with Protector Pulch, except I think you should add a region in which you get health/ammo.

lol, and u guys think im just on here 24/7?....lol come on guys, Xwing Guy has been on his map since April i believe....he at least realises what QUALITY is....if you guys are going to take the quick and easy way out, to the dark side that leads;)....if you stay....if u complete your training, a great mod map you will release.

It's not the "quick and easy way out". School, and jobs take a lot of time, and effort. I'm sure that everyone here agrees that school/jobs come first. THEN other things. If you don't like the outcome of this map, don't download it. I'm fine with that. I'm sure EVERYONE is fine with that. Otherwise, stop complaining.

lol, why do u think im working behind the scenes with no announcements or input from other people.....just so you know mate, i AM a modder, and yes i am well aware a model is difficult to create in XSI...i myself just got XSI, and i'm gna be looking at tutorials etc for it all tomorrow....so i'd think twice before u question my actions, when u dont know them at all...
