Ok, I want to make a custom galactic conquest mod, with new units etc, I've never made a mod and I was wondering how I would go about doing this, what tools I would need and if there is a tutorial out there, any help would be much appreciated.

I'd like to warn you before starting to explain anything: making a custom GC is possible, but really hard if you don't have some basic modding knowledges. I would recommend starting to use the ModTools, and reading all tutorials and docs about it.

A Custom Galactic Conquest(CGC) mod is not for beginners. Only a couple people have made them, Mav, one of the best and most experienced modders out there. And my team (Mainly Firefang and myself).

I suggest you start with a side/era mod, learn how to make new units and such. Then slowly work your way into a CGC. A simple CGC can be done easily, but if you want new units, then its going to take a lot more work.

That's my advice anyway.
