I remembered seeing both X-wings and Y-wings right in the beginning of the TIE Fighter Factory level in TFU. And if they weren't, they looked a heck of alot like them.

I thought so too, but I wasn't sure.666rulerofclones wrote:I remembered seeing both X-wings and Y-wings right in the beginning of the TIE Fighter Factory level in TFU. And if they weren't, they looked a heck of alot like them.
Hmmm... alright. Have you ever thought about making it being a easter egg or something?Maveritchell wrote:Nope, there's no really good place for "hero" flyers with stock space maps.Nova Hawk wrote:Hey Mav, I know this is probably a stupid question since this mode is based around the Force Unleashed game, but will Starkiller's ship the Rogue Shadow be included?
And how, if I may ask, would you add an easter egg to a stock map without forcing it to be a seperate map? He'd hafta open it in ZE and add a new vehicle spawn, or go through a ton of coding to make it become unlockable, and then give whatever team Starkiller's on a disadvantage due to having one less ship in their hangar. And heck, I'm not even sure that it's possible to do that.Nova Hawk wrote:Hmmm... alright. Yes, I guess you have a point there. But you could replace the Imperial transport for his ship and make that as the transport.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:And how, if I may ask, would you add an easter egg to a stock map without forcing it to be a seperate map? Am I right or no?
Cool down, it's not that hard to do and yes, I could do it. I don't want to and probably won't simply because I wouldn't want to spend the time modeling something that would essentially be unused.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:And how, if I may ask, would you add an easter egg to a stock map without forcing it to be a seperate map? Yes, essentially. I didn't just "switch" the droideka shield effect though; I made a new one, because making the effect do what it does, visually, wouldn't be possible with the specific effect type the droideka shield is.Fiodis wrote:A while ago someone asked how to make changing skins and I replied that one could make an effect (shield effect, for instance) with the unit's geometry instead of the sphere geometry. While I now realize that it's impossible that way, is this switch-the-geometry of the shield effect what you did for the TIE Vangaurd's shield?
Y-Wings were there during the Clone Wars (recently made canon by the cartoon on Cartoon Network)Teancum wrote:I thought so too, but I wasn't sure.666rulerofclones wrote:I remembered seeing both X-wings and Y-wings right in the beginning of the TIE Fighter Factory level in TFU. Yes, the ARC-170 was a precursor, as well as the Z-95 headhunter, but this is a little offtopic. I absolutely love what the space map looks like, especially the proton torpedoes, I'm glad you changed the color from blue, that always urked me.Fiodis wrote:Oh. I had always assumed that the precursor to the X-wing was that multi-winged fighter the Republic has in default space maps. Not the V-wing, not Ani's starfighter, but the third one.
That was my thought at first too, but unfortunately the Sentinel-class shuttle from the actual movies looks like this:Commander_Fett wrote:If it isn't too much trouble, I'd recommend moddifying the ugly cocpit of the imperial shuttle to make it look more like the actual thing and way better, but either way, very nice work!
