Hey,
i did the adding an era tut from the 1.3 patch and it seems to work on my Testmap.
I was surprised to see the Yuuzhan Vong name era in game.
Guess it comes from the patch 1.3.
But now i want to rename it. I just can´t seem to find it anywhere. The tut doesn´t say a word about it and i searched the localize entries with no luck.

You are using v1.3 patch r117 correct? Follow the info in Change an Era's and Game Mode's Name or Icon or Description.txt. The v1.3 patch r83 doesn't support changing the era names.
