Lost and exporting problems!

when i try to export the obj it say obj not a collection in a red line near the bottom... so here s a pic.. which is my first modle... a granade launcher... and i dont understand the textering tuts.... the menus they say dont exist or ..im lost..

so plz help... i have the hp_fire and hp_active placed already... and dont know what to do next

first of all: calm down :D
the model looks nice for a first model
but now ontopic:
you have to call the root DummyRoot not MS3DSceneRoot (i dont know if its necessary, but it looks better imo)
you have to follow wazmols tutorial (on the bottom of his post you should find the modtoolnotes(?))
and next: export your model to obj (select only the model, not nulls...)
and import the obj into xsi 5 to use the pandemictoll to export the fully finished model
you could export via .xsi, but if you export the file into xsi 5, it changes the preferences

i get lost on the texture thingy on step 2.... i cant find texture projection.. im using modtool 6..
and here is my 2nd modle im trying to texture and im going to make link's sword next.....

AND what does a sword need to work in game ... like hp_active type thingys and do i place thoes under dummy root?

Yeah Im failing to find certain buttons on those texturing tutorials too...Although Im not good at finding things lol.

Under Mode, switch to XSI Default (Pro Mode).

This changes the layout to be more like version 4.2 for which all the tuts where written, but when it comes to the texturing part, make sure you use the Render toolbar.
