I keep seeing people post stuff like "too late to start playing now" or " RIP SWG" when you can still play SWG and best of all, for free. You just need original CDs of the game which should be pretty easy to get for a good price these days, then go here: http://www.swgemu.com/forums/forum.php

It's based on Pre-CU gameplay so no starting out as Jedi and it's not complete yet but very playable and you can still unlock Jedi if you are willing to take the time to do it.

I know the servers were down recently but if they're back up we should get a GT group going on.

I can't wait for JTL to be implemented, then I'll really sink time into playing.

Would this work with the SWG 14-day trial disk that came with the "Star Wars: Best of the PC" pack? I still haven't used it yet.

Me too.

You can try since it may be a full installer that just has an extra bit that tells the server to let you on for X amount of time. If any case I just checked eBay and found it going for as low as $2.99 USD for the original game, don't buy the box set since the only expansion they plan on adding is Jump to Lightspeed.

I'll def start playing again if some people on here want to get a group going. My character is still active but they'll probably do a wipe soon as it's still in beta pretty much so don't get too attached to your characters especially when the full version is complete they will do a full wipe.
